Exactly Saynothing and tbf its fantastic to see Mayo win an All Ireland.They have had enough hurt.Its been a brilliant championship and what a brilliant era with so many top teams now around together.
Im already looking forward to next year.This will spur on Galway and the Rossies also and I think this is the best era I have witnessed.So many top teams noe capable of winning but for now let Mayo enjoy their well deserved victory.
11 final losses since 5 is tough and they probably deserved to win at least 3 of them.Delighted for Mayo and a great result for football also.

Kerry and Mayo have so much in common and huge marriages between both counties.Many of our diaspora emigrated and settled together.We both on the Western sea board with many of the same traits.The ayhmospere yesterday was electric and Im not sure I have ever heard a loader croke park for a match.
I was so proud of the Kerry supporters yesterday who show great sportmanship.It was lovely to see so many Kerry fans hugging Mayo fans after the match.Handskaes and pats on the back all around.A huge Kerry crowd stayed for the presentation to applaud Mayo.Class!
I must add,many Donegal stayed on last year too tbf.
I heard so many Kerry people say "If we had to be beat,Im glad it was Mayo"
I must admit Im finding the loss very easy as Im so happy for Mayo.

Mayo, Mayo, Mayo!
Class.
As a Dublin supporter who witnessed so many trojan battles from the Hill against Mayo, and enjoyed so many away days/weekends to Castlebar and Ballina over the years and met so many incredible, lovely people - i must say im genuinely overcome with joy for you all. Each and every single one.
Hate is a strong word, but I hated Mayo for so long. Not genuine hate though, sporting hate. I hated the idea of losing to them. When we were winning all irelands I just didn't like the idea of someone else winning it cause I knew just how great it was and how hard it was for the opposition fans. The rivalry was probably the biggest ibe experienced as a fan. Mayo done all the talking and never done enough to got over the line and it frightened me that one day Mayo would get over the line against us in a final. I never wanted the drought to end. I lived for the Mayo misery. I hated the thoughts of mayo ending the drought against us. When we would win itd be more relief than elation.
But jesus I was rooting for you yesterday. Enough was enough. I never truly believed before this final that Mayo would win it any time soon but in the lead up to the final itself I just never had a single doubt in my mind. I said it to everyone I met in the city centre pre game yesterday whod listen to me. It was written in the stars. It was YOUR day and the scenes afterwards, I mean I was emotional even as a Dublin fan. Im watching and listening to all the post match stuff and ive got goosebumps as if it were Dublin who won it.
You are the most resilient group of people ive ever seen, all the pain and anguish, you kept coming back hoping one day itd be your turn and to honestly, im just so delighted. Its scary to think the vast vast majority of people.there yesterday likely weren't alive the last time Mayo won it. That in itself is amazing. To all the Mayo gang on here, the biggest and more sincere congratulations and in particular to yewtree. Mate im ecstatic for you.
For me personally, the flame went out. The gra had gone. The dull league games in CP. The condensed season and finals in July. The lack of media build up, the state the city of Dublin is in, the hatred and vitriol online about society in general coupled with a lack of time, kids of my own in the last 4 years, the "ive seen it all anyway it wont get better than this" and the affordability aspect, it just killed something within me. Yesterday for a few hours at least they relit my fire. What a group of men.
Enjoy every bit of it.

There has been an incredible rush to write teams off all year. Donegal nudged Mayo out of last year's championship with the last kick of the ball. Nearly everyone discounted Mayo. Dublin were written off after the league. Tyrone were written off as well despite an impressive quarter final win last year.
