Just looking back at last years All Ireland series none of the direct qualifiers for the Quarter Finals were Provincial Champions. Same as this year.

Kerry win about 7-8 playing in first gear. Rivalry is when teams are competitive against one another. Armagh two championship wins against Kerry in 70 years is not a Rivalry

Might as well hand Sam to Kerry now.

A controlled performance in the second half. Got a break before half time and converted it perfectly. Very little time to reflect on today's impressive win. 2 in 3 chance of having Galway or Tyrone next week. Louth the other potential tough opponent. CA!

A massive statement from Kerry CiarraiMick, everything they touched turned to gold today. 30% possession in the first half and still managed to be in front. They are no 1 man team.

Replying To Eddie the Exile:  "Armagh could do the whole country a massive favour today. At least six teams would genuinely fancy their chances of winning the whole thing if Kerry are gone. With Kerry still in, only Galway remain as viable contenders. Can't see anything other that a 8+ point win for Kerry however."
That's quite baffling tbh. Galway have a great attack but leak a lot of scores. They're also an aging though team and pretty slow in transition. I think Kerry will win but to disregard the team who's beaten them 3 times in the last few months is strange.

2007 was the last time that any county retained the All Ireland without home league ground advantage. Was round 3 home advantage an advantage today? Kerry and Mayo made it count today anyway. The 2015 Munster final and final replay were both played in Killarney as PUC was being worked on at the time. Kerry didn't look a gift horse in the mouth! There has been enough challenges in Croke Park in recent years e.g. the 21 semi final, 23 final and the 24 semi final to be wary of the next challenge. The last two champions have bowed out at the quarters.

Surely the team that has beat Kerry 3 times this year already and by 13 and 10 points in the last 2 are at least a viable contender? Even allowing for Kerry not being at full strenght

There's a respect for Armagh football. Have other Ulster counties turned a bit against Donegal? Has Donegal picked up something of a reputation for not being a sporting county?
Leaving the unsporting behaviour of their supporters and the league should have been red card incident aside, Donegal are of course more than a viable contender. When I commiserated Donegal supporters after last year's final - I acknowledged that Donegal would strike back this year.
Tyrone were a tough opponent in last year's semi final. Tyrone are also looking to strike back. Galway have been waiting since 22. There will be more twists and turns in this championship race yet. Many warning signs from rivals to be heeded and concerned about but sure that's the challenge.

A bit of water has passed under the bridge since then. I must admit I was suprised at the beating Kerry handed out yesterday. Donegal are by no means out of it but you have to admit that people are going to doubt Donegal's credentials having bet Kerry twice and then loose to Down & Cork. I will be an interested spectator at Croke Park today. If Donegal can put up a good score, that's will surely get people thinking.

I would love to see Donegal beating Kerry in a semi final this year. Just can't see it unfortunately.

I expected more from Donegal in the first half. Barely ahead & so pedestrian at times. Won't be winning any All Ireland at that craic.
