I think it needs to be said again what a great job the FRC have done with regard to the new rules. It has given football a new lease of life. It's fantastic to see teams like Roscommon and Westmeath fully embrace the "new" game and they have reaped their rewards. I would still have Kerry out in front. But there is a clutch of good teams behind them who would be very confident of taking any team down on their day. The next few weeks are going to be fascinating. Since Galway completed the three in a row in 1966, a Connacht team has only won two All Irelands, Galway in 1998 and 2001. Because they are not equal championships,but current system then brings all provincial finalists to the same position in the race for sam. Contrast Armaghs route to Corks, yet both are in same position when we start again next week. You told us here that Dublin was fair set for an unprecedented and unchallengeable period of dominance that would last several decades. Because Kerry and Cork have a huge advantage in that they are seeded every year to get to a Munster final and therefore guaranteed a home tie in the first match of the AI Series.
