Replying To gaelsboy:  "Very optimistic then again I reckoned Sligo would beat us easily so to hell with it, why shouldn't we try go out and win it, the pressure is on them not us.
A wet day would actually suit us better, the dry day and fast ball will test our fitness levels a bit too much and Galway will likely have a bit too much for us.
The Sligo gave us much to be proud of but until we get up to division 3 and stay there, we won't go toe to toe with division 1 or 2 teams for long. A decent performance could give us some belief in a proper run in the TC."
Flynns on main street. Great pints

Replying To bláthach:  "If we get by Galway (unlikely I know) who or who would we put on Kobe McDonald in the Connacht final please so millions? Thanks for considering this tactical conundrum."
No need Blathers to be bothered about Kobe. It will be the second level competition aka the Tailteann Cup for ye boys after Saturday. I expect a full on Leitrim assault first half though, a kinda blitzkrieg so to say. Mc Nulty in the engine room. A real life panzer who can punch holes in the Galway defense. All said Galway by at least seven.
A speedy Roscommon with an unfortunate injury list meaning the Mayo lads are hot favourites. Mayo by four I'd say. Just unfortunately Creggs appeal isn't going to be overturned. A gigantic loss. Still three Connacht teams in the All Ireland series proper so that's good for the province. Nice colour around Hillstreet and the Ros side of Carrick this morning. Primrose and Blue are lovely colors. Love to all.

Galway 0-19 (19)"
Leitrim 0-13 Galway 2-22. And another prediction ohwow will be at home watching it on GAA+ while the good decent and honest Leitrim folk will be in attendance supporting their team.

Great to see Roscommon getting in the excuses early for when they inevitably calve on Sunday please and thanks. Oh we have injuries and suspensions please. Every county has that thank you but you don't hear the big two at that nonsense excuse making. Thanks so much.

I see the Leitrim u20 team and senior teams are named for this weekends games. The best five u20's not playing with the u20's because of the senior game and none of the five are starting for the senior team either. We dont help ourselves do we. We complain about lack of consistency at underange level and this is the respect shown to the Philly McGuinness Cup final. I dont know who's worse, the Connacht Council for the fixture clash or the Leitrim Co Board for allowing this to happen.

It's shouldn't be clashing, why wasn't that game played Wednesday night alongside the semi final

Very true El Blagino. Thats the reality alright. Be akin to you boys losing Mc Nulty and Honeysman. Injuries are part and parcel but they inevitably weaken your hand. Stack, Fallon, Nolan, Frost all club final competitors v Glen and Dingle in All Ireland club finals on recent years all out too.(Fair level to be at I'm sure even you'll admit) Hard pill to take. Think that it will cost us but sure the show goes on. All the best to Leitrim. I'll be rooting for ye. Word is the Shayo Walsh is going well on training which could be ominous but hey ,bring that Leitrim spirit to it and you'd never know. Love to all.

Hard luck to the under twenty team tonight. Thank you. Bit like the Roscommon game really please. Should have won it against a limited outfit and like the Roscommon game if we had full team we would have won. Thank you.

Sligo are limited but they could have won by another 10 points as they missed a site . Conor walsh the only one for them that'll be in their senior set up next year. Leitrim played well in spells but never had a foothold at midfield.. McManus very good tonight

Today is the day Leitrim qualify for Connacht final. Ideal weather conditions for the big result. Having compared both line ups I think we edge it and have better players overall.

Looking at Galway lineup and panel, it seems strange thank you in advance for checking it out. I'm wondering if PJ is keeping something up his sleeve to surprise mayo in Connacht final please? Thanks for pondering.

Good luck to the team and management today. It's a big ask but we should approach it with the aspiration that every man gives his level best and when you've done that you can do no more.

Great credit is due to the lads who've stuck with the jersey and the cause in what are challenging times.
It's an honour to represent your county and its people - grasp the occasion. We'll worry about the final tomorrow.
