Replying To leitrim4sam:  "Disrespect shown to Leitrim clubs is shocking. Moycullen still have to beat Leitrim Gaels to reach the final, now I agree they'll be hottest of hot favourites to do so- but still they have to beat them.

Some of the comments on here:

" Pearses, Ballina, Moycullen is as tough as any route to a provincial title."

" Now I expect Brigids to beat Ballina but in the final they'll be up against the favourites Moycullen"

" Moycullen defensively are not that great or at least not good enough to go all the way. Their midfield without Cooke not great either. But he will be there for a Connacht final."

Now I also think Moycullen will be in the final, they are strong strong favourites to advance but have some respect, they have another game to play first.

As for intermediate :

"Intermediate looks very tough, Kilmeena will fancy themselves and Caltra will be no pushover"

Allen Gaels will be no push over either"
Respect is generally earned. No Leitrim club has won the senior Connacht club title and it's 1997 since reaching the final a stat that unlikely to change against Moycullen regardless of how many Fermanagh brothers has been added to the Leitrim Gaels team or how many training sessions Jim McGuinness had with the team.

It's ten year since a Leitrim club reached the Intermediate Connacht final and again no Leitrim club has won that title. Allen Gaels beating both Strokestown,Kilmeena will certainly earn respect but I can't see that happening.

Not being smart but when is the last time a Leitrim team got to a provincial. 10 years? You can't argue with odds until you upset them.

One that Bridgets on their day are well capable of winning"
Agree. Big ask of Ballina but I expect them to beat Bridgets .
