I am repeating myself but the fact Leitrim last played in May and club finals are only being completed in late October/November is bewildering.

It is because of the Connaght championship - LG aren't playing their round until the 16th of November - could easily play it sooner but then you'd have the champions in each grade waiting weeks or months without a game.

Sure they are waiting either way, why not let them enjoy summer football

I do think there was a benefit playing the junior A final in ballinamore as it's two small parish's made the atmosphere a lot better as the crowd would've got lost in pairc Sean completely understand taken away the chance of letting young lads play in carrick but in my opinion it was a great call !

Could a seperate competition be organised to cover this gap? Maybe have the SFC champions and maybe 2 or 3 regional sides play for say, the Packy McGarty Cup. It could double as county trials and at least give the better Intermediate and Junior players a higher level to play at.

Decent game time for the senior club going into Connacht and it would allow the championship itself to be played a month earlier. You could put the Intermediate winners in it as well as that's becoming a higher standard with it and the SFC becoming smaller.

Any where to find the scorers of champions games. Trying to get a website up of all players scores in championships for the different counties.

A decent idea, but just don't see clubs buying into any regional competitions bar maybe at underage where lads appreciate the extra game time and get out of the house with their mates.
At adult level I don't think we have the numbers and those that do commit often live away for work/ college and aren't interested in committing to playing into the winter if their club is knocked out. Maybe if we could run leagues off by May and normal championship by September there may be a chance for it.
We aren't Kerry and never will be

Never going to the same atmosphere in pairc sean that you'd get in ballnamore or cloone. But the senior / intermediate and junior finals should be played in the main county grounds

Personally loved playing in Ballinamore and Cloone, the old pitch in Carrick was torture to play on. The new pitch looks unreal tho.

Final whistle was great at this but think they've since have up and just post results. Pity, was a great little resource
