Replying To seanie08:  "Well done inniskeen be good to see them win it. Scotstown predictable enough win. Beggan his usual clinical self and Kieran Hughes still best player in the county. Special mention for Conor Boyle who thought was superb big loss to county."
Hard to see how Kieran is currently the best player in the county to be honest. Jack and Rory won the game for Scotstown. Jack scored 1-2 and Rory got 7 points. He also put the 2nd goal on a plate. That was the difference. Put Beggan on any team and he improves them massively with his ability to kick (2 pointers especially)Woods was excellent for Inniskeen. They'll give Scotstown a better game than Magheracloone could. Woods is the closest to Rory in terms of ability to kick 2 pointers. But McCarthy is a big loss for Scotstown, in fairness. Is he gone for the season?
In Intermediate, Killanny defy the odds again. Good characters to be fair. Carrick probably favourites though?
Emyvale overwhelming favourites for Junior championship. Seans have a few good lads but Emyvale are a senior team in waiting. Hard to see them beaten.
Thoughts.....?

The goal is promotion and like I've said all year Carrick will do the double. Was totally unexpected for them not to top group and had expected a Blayney v donaghmoyne semi"
You've contradicted yourself….. you've no doubt blayney will win the league and you also think Carrick will win the double?

Inniskeen's greater depth won the game - being able to bring on Donal Meegan who had quite an impact when he came as a sub as opposed to Magheracloone who lost Jack Doogan early into the second half and their sub didn't make an impact at all. Magheracloone have very done well this year, played excellent football at times but their panel depth showed yesterday. Magheracloone got some match ups right but couldn't negate all Inniskeen's best players. In the previous game between them McNulty had a great game but I thought Doogan-Burke played well on him yesterday. This time Shane Hanratty had a very influential game.

Blayney, Carrick was a good game. The game hung on a couple of key moments in each half and each time Matthew Carolan was the guy who stood up and made the difference. After blayney got their goal, they had the chance from a free to go 4 in front, but they inexplicably went short with it. Carrick won the ball and Matthew Carolan took responsibility and hit a great two pointer. In second half as Blayney closed the gap, he once again hit a 2 pointer. that was the score that sunk Blayney. Anytime I've seen Carolan play for Monaghan U20 or minor this lad has leadership and responsibility in abundance.

Killanny did well again. Ronan Grimes is kryptonite to other teams attackers. Any idea why he hasn't opted for county senior football?

If BLayney get over harps may have 2 chances of promotion.... Carrick in League final and if carrick win double, their will be a playoff between Kilanny and blayney for promotion

Say what you want but good coaching and Community effort! Many men on here should spend less time on the high stool. Numbers never won a championship… good underage structures and planning does.
