Replying To Green&Gold2013:  "Congrats to Galway Camoige. Totally written off before the game. 3 all Irelands for Cathal Murray as manager. Some achievement considering we only have 5. I think I can remember another certain prominent camoige manger in Galway questioning Cathal Murray at the start of year and his squad selection!!! Fair to say Cathal Murray knows what he's doing."
I wonder does he know what he is doing.....Galway with extra player for 2nd half and having her as a defence sweeper...hmm hello you put your extra player in the Forwards!
Also very very slow to bring in fresh legs when the team was jaded.
Panicking then when Cork scored the goal and throwing on two subs!
The Galway players were fantastic but Lucky it wasn't lost on the line!

A brilliant achievement, especially considering that it's a vastly changed team from the one which won the last title 4 years ago. A lot of new talent has been brought through since then, and many of the players who backboned that team are gone.
Excellent in the first half. Definitely seemed to tighten up in the 2nd half, and would have been sickened if they lost it, but did Dolan made sure they wouldn't be regretful.

Replying To Alwaysencourage:  "But sure isn't senior B just intermediate by another name."
Isn't that where the confusion is....so the unlucky 8 Intermediate teams are Junior A by another name and the 18 Junior A teams are Junior B by another name ect ect.
For example if the once fallen mighty Kiltormer don't win Junior A this year, then next year they will be known as a Junior B Club!

Who was she on about?"
Sarsfields club manager. I think he was aggrieved his own daughters aren't playing!!! He was on the maroon and white podcast early this year.

hmm hello, Galway already had 2or3 forwards up there who weren't shooting the lights out. The last thing you'd want was another non scoring player up there, only clogging up space. The Cork goal at the end served to highlight the need for Galway's defensive approach. Hickey had a masterful game sweeping, and we conceded the goal as soon as she went off.

Galway have only 5 camogie titles, and some of these women have 4 of those. Remarkable.

Hello two extra sweepers for Galway in the 2nd half and still conceded a goal.
Galway line up in 2nd half was 8-2-4, that means 8 backs, 2 midfield, 4 forwards...talk about clogging up your own defence and inviting pressure on.

Where were the 8 backs when Cork goaled? Galway had only 3 scoring forwards, so 4 was plenty to have up there. Cork upped their energy level after HT, and Galway understandably tired late on from their relentless workrate. That's why Cork came more into it imo, and had nothing to do with tactical formation.

Brilliant consistency over the past decade and a bit. Competing well most years, getting to finals regularly and most importantly getting over the line in a good number of them. 7 finals since 2013, winning 4 of them.
We'd kill for something close to that on the hurling side.

Congratulations to the Galway girls and C Murray. However, it is strange that some more of those Sarsfields girls are not involved and who's to say we wouldn't have a few more in the bag if they were. Doesn't matter who is right or wrong but it is a pity it was not patched up. Well done to all the girls who did the business today

County Board need to step up and get rid of Senior B and have, 16 Teams in Senior, Intermediate, Junior A, Junior B as down as down to what ever letter they want. Dublin go down to H. I think they have about 14 Division Leagues. Having Senior A and B is like a club calling their 2 x U10 Teams, Team Red or Team Blue. The U10 knows its U10A or U10B/C/D.
P.S. Well done to the Camogie Team.

For starters there are way too many tiers 9, Senior, Senior B, Intermediate, Junior A,B,C,D,E,F.
That Junior F had 16 teams 6 Clubs couldn't field a team and the rest are like hungover with beer bellys swinging hurls and then pulling hamstrings after about 10mins of hurling.
God bless the day's when there was 5 tiers Senior, Intermediate, Junior A,B,C and everyone of those 5 competitions were super competitive.

It can only strengthen competition having proper senior ,intermediate and junior levels. With the grouping you can loose two, win one and you qualify its a bags of a system. Dog eat dog can only improve players

A tremendous win yesterday. These ladies have shown us the way to do it - written off before this final but their sheer grit, determination, massive work rate and hard worked on skills drove us over the line. Well deserved for all involved. Gaillimh Abú!!!

Cathal Murray with the biggest smile this morning. Would hate to be anyone associated with Sars camogie today. Egg.on.face.

Well done to Galway camógs. A wonderful achievement. It shows the Galway GAA the way to win All Ireland's. All Galway teams should watch a video of this win.

Congrats to the girls yesterday. Was just thinking of the 4 senior adult inter county ( football/hurling mens/ladies) there was 8 all ireland senior finals over last 2 years. Galway got to 7 /8 quarter finals . 5/8 semi finals 4/8 finals . 1/8 titles. Now I know that these stats are much more positive in terms of ladies and ultimately a poor return in terms of titles, but overall we are lucky to be supporting teams that are close to the business end most of the time. Not having a dig at other counties either because our house is made of glass too, but 1 x QF appearance by ros and 1 x QF by mayo ladies were the only other connacht representation at this stage over the past 2 years.
