Kildare will win this pulling up. Could be tanking for the Limerick men.

Kildare to win by 6 points is what I'm expecting for this final today.

Congratulations to Kildare! Hard luck to Limerick who put in a great effort. Limerick had three outings in Croke Park this year. Won Division 4. Won their Tailteann semi final obviously. Just came up short today.

There is mesgegra, but most Kildare supporters who post online do so on the Kildare GAA forum.

Delighted to get over the line yesterday in a good game against a never say die and spirited Limerick. Hard luck to Limerick and best wishes in Division 3 next year.
For Kildare the objectives for year one under Brian Flanagan were achieved: promotion and winning the Tailteann Cup after failing to get to the Leinster final.
The future is promising with Brian Flanagan's u 20 All Ireland winners beginning to develop into serious senior players Grinding out wins in tight games like yesterday will only aid in their development and that if the team.

Not going to get carried away though as we in Kildare know only too well the failure of Kildare teams in the past to deliver on potential.
Still it's fantastic to have won a national title and have Division 2 football and the All-Ireland series to look forward to in 2026.

Well done to our footballers on a great season. It was heart warming to see them take the game to Kildare as they had done to Wicklow in the semi final.

Kildare were able to get a run on us at just the wrong time for us and they deserved their win.

Hopefully our lads can move forward in division 3 in 2026. Well done to Jimmy Lee, the Management team and players for their great efforts this year. .

Its a national title for best of a bad lot really, but there is a lot of people in Kildare who will gladly celebrate mediocrity

It's not celebrating mediocrity but a stepping stone to hopefully competing in Division 2 and the All-Ireland series. We have moved on from the disaster of the last few years. Onwards and upwards.

Ye were in the TC because ye deserved to be.
Well done on winning , a first step of getting up the ranks a bit.

First off huge congratulations to Brian and the entire senior Kildare setup, players and backroom. Great character was shown yesterday at a time, particularly after the second goal was conceded when it would have been easy to lay down tools as we have seen previous Kildare trans do. A loss would have been catastrophic and potentially set I'd back years. The players sensed that and grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck. We are far from the finished article but yesterday required character was shown as it has been throughout this year.
With all the caveats about it bring a secondary competition I have to say it lifted my heart to see the steps of the Hogan Stand lined with Kildare men. Next year is a big year for this team and a big step up but serious foundations have been put in place.
Cill Dara Abú!!!

Thanks. Absolutely we were there because of our dismissal form in the last two years.

Yes well said. Limerick footballers have done themselves & the county proud this year from such a low ebb over the last 2 year. To run a team like Kildare so close in Croke Park is encouraging.

The main objective for next year is to keep most of the panel together, and perhaps get a few other players back/find 1 or 2 players and at worst to stay in Division 3. It will be a tough division with Down, Westmeath, Clare & Fermanagh but with a bit of luck they could make the top 2.

Good enough to beat ye two years ago. We know too well why we were in the Tailteann Cup but the right people are in charge now. Out of the two I think we picked the right All-Ireland winning i20 manager

Well done Kildare and I would imagine as a team who really shouldn't even be in the TC, most of the other counties will be delighted to see them out of the competition at last for next year (provided they don't get relegated that is). Limerick gave them plenty of it and will be no push over in Division 3 next year.

The blowing up of TC winners by pundits using Down and in particular Meath's good run this year fairly got destroyed today. Meath while better than previous years are not all of a sudden top 4 or even 8. Anyone that thinks ya can go from winning a bottom 16+ competition to being serious contenders in the top flight within 2/3 years is fooling themselves. Teams are in the TC for a reason and those reasons rarely disappear immediately.

Even if Kildare are relegated, which is quite possible imo, they will still be in the All Ireland. That guarantee is their reward for winning TC. Nobody gets to win back to back TCs.

Correct that slipped my mind, but my point being it will eventually get to a stage where teams like Westmeath at present will be yo-yoing it up and down between Sam and TC.
