I loved his waffle about that lumberjack. They are just more information outlets where you have good and bad info coming out just like the television or radio, etc. I can't watch television at work but I can listen to a podcast or a video on one of the many platforms that are out there. There is a must listen to GAA podcast on BBC iplayer, it's Mrs Brown the wife of the late Sean Brown who was kidnapped and murdered in Co Derry. The GAA community should be getting behind this family in their quest for the truth instead of some waving Palestine flags at matches. If I was living in Dublin I would love to get involved in this project and help with coaching/ teaching the skills. Wonderful that it is an initiative started by migrants who genuinely want to integrate, to understand, and to be part of the culture. Sad though that we are a nation so lacking in a sense of self that we take such a laissez faire attitude to immigration, dont actually have a national policy for integrating migrants to our country and leave it up to migrants themselves to find their way to connecting with Irish culture or else remain as outsiders, as a sub-culture in a country where they will forever feel strange and to which they will struggle to fully belong. Our laissez faire approach to immigration has spawned an industry along the lines of a Ponsi scheme similar to the end days of the Celtic Tiger upon which a small minority of Irish people have become super-rich -- the difference this time is that instead of houses and the Galway tent the Ponsi scheme is based on keeping the flow coming regardless of the need and to hell with integration, to hell with actually calculating skill shortages and matching that with the people we wish to welcome here as any rational and mature nation would do. I applaud the founders of this ad-hoc GAA club and wish them every success and hope they will be fully established as a GAA club soon. It's great for them to win a trophy, but I don't think it quells much of the doubt about how poor they have been this season. Spurs are one place above relegation in the league after 37 games, which is pretty incredible for a club of their size. They happened to meet a team one place above them who are having their worst season in over 50 years. The saving grace was that both couldn't lose. The quality of the game summed up the the current form of both teams pretty well. A trophy is a trophy, but looking at the list of teams they beat on the way isn't very inspiring either.
