impossible task to pick 15 but yes to Michael Donnellan, Peter Canavan, Graham Geraghty, Trevor Giles, Ciaran MacDonald to name a few suckvalleypaddy (Galway) - Posts: 1736 - 16/12/2016 20:53:12 1940609 Link 0 |
Lol my Mayo hatred for Dublin? Show me any post where I had a pop at Dublin for no reason. You posts are so random you don't even keep track of what other people say. I never said Brogan didn't do the business outside of Leinster, he is a class act. My point is he had a far better opportunity to do the business than Joyce did for most of his career. Oh and I was the poster defending ROC against the ramblings of a certain Dublin poster when he left the panel. Imagine that?

I'm sorry! A team of the millennium isn't worth the paper it's written on if Brian McGuigan isn't included! sam2008 (Tyrone) - Posts: 799 - 16/12/2016 22:20:18 1940622 Link 0 |

Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit. Brian McGuigan has every right to be talked about in relation to the team of the century. Wonderful playmaker, would off walked on to the Dublin team of that era or current Dublin team. The only reason I didn't pick him was because he picked up a few horrific injuries over his career.

Just looking at the team again and my chin nearly hit the floor (again) - no Conor Gormley? sam2008 (Tyrone) - Posts: 799 - 20/12/2016 04:36:21 1941072 Link 1 |
Good team from Pat. I don't agree with people coming on here saying there should be more from my county. Need to look beyond your own county sometimes Charismatic (Donegal) - Posts: 13 - 25/12/2016 05:33:06 1942042 Link 0 |

Ok Brian, Right you are. Things must be pretty shi*e when you take everything so seriously. You have a good new year now. Dubh_linn (Dublin) - Posts: 2313 - 29/12/2016 14:30:34 1942239 Link 0 |
Oh! Come on Hermit, surely you could have found places for another one or two Kerry players on your team.

The great Tyrone and Kerry teams of the 00's have a lot of question marks hanging over them yet this Dublin team have none but our goalkeeper is the only player to make the team. Shocking from posters who believe that should be the team that Spillane picked. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 29/12/2016 18:41:11 1942258 Link 1 |
Question marks? I would agree that Dublin should be better represented. But it's not an awful team he picked. The_Fridge (Tyrone) - Posts: 2093 - 29/12/2016 20:09:14 1942263 Link 0 |
What question marks have players from that Tyrone and Kerry team hanging over them?

I'd have pascal McConnell ahead of cluxton any day. KingdomBoy1 (Kerry) - Posts: 14092 - 29/12/2016 22:32:34 1942280 Link 3 |
Well said. More interesting if people can only recommend people from outside their county. Otherwise, it's as biased as parents talking about their children's achievements! Spillane's team was grand and given how passionate the man is about Kerry, remarkably balanced overall.

What question marks have Tyrone and Kerry? Ok before I start they were both great teams. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 30/12/2016 08:19:15 1942300 Link 2 |
All true statements but if you're picking the best 15 of the last 16 years you're looking for it individual players consistency of high performance. Usually they'll come from All Ireland winners but not always. It's all about opinions.
