Huge congratulations to Mayo.A super win for you and well deserved.You finally got what you all deserved after years of hurt.This is my 10th time seeing Kerry lose an All Ireland final and I can honestly say I have never been more content with a loss.

There is a huge connection between Mayo and Kerry and outside of where people are born,I read a few years ago the highest amount of marriages is between Kerry and Mayo.

I have never seen so many Kerry supporters accepting defeat aswell and I saw so many Kerry and Mayo fans hugging and shaking hands afterwards.Wonderful scenes.
Mayo enjoy every bit of it.

Hats off to Mayo today. Down by 6 against Kerry in an AI final and turned it around with savage pressing and work rate along with a sprinkle of magic up front. Well done Mayo the team that wanted it most won and fully deserved the win.

75th anniversary marked in some fashion and indeed the 25th anniversary of the last Connacht All-Ireland success. Interesting that was won by Ballaghaderreen resident in the late John O'Mahony and today a bred Ballaghaderreen man.and the 1051 captain was from Ballaghaderreen also. Is Ballaghaderreen the true secret to Connacht All-Ireland success.
