What a magnificent performance from Down. Probably our best performance since Kerry in 2010. Commiserations to Donegal brilliant team. REDANDBLACK30 (Down) - Posts: 1752 - 26/04/2026 17:06:48 2668835 Link 0 |

Congrats, a brilliant performance, unfortunately for us, it was reminiscent of the 1991 Ulster final. Go on and win Ulster now.

Well said. It could be an omen for Donegal we beat Tyrone in the first round in Ulster after a replay in 2008 and yet then they ended up winning the All Ireland. Donegal have been magnificent last few years best of luck for the rest of the year.

Today could turn out to be a blessing in disguise. Donegal looked a tired team today. A break will do them no harm at all...

No but hard to see how an All Ireland will be coming to Donegal.

Another reason the 'lengthy rest' can be beneficial over those teams, 'successful in their Prov'. This is inherently wrong. A steady slate of games for all teams, in-Prov or outside, seems better.

You know the way things roll. It'll probably take all 8 provincial finalists losing in round 1 for anything to be done about it. The solution really is for the 24 non finalists to playoff over 2 knockout rounds for the 7 or 8 league qualifier spots. Rome wasn't built in a day. legendzxix (Kerry) - Posts: 9662 - 26/04/2026 20:03:52 2668939 Link 0 |
