Dublin would know all about those type of players.

I would love to know how we didn't get a a 50 yard advancement at the death for the black card incident? And the form Sherlock was in I'd have put my house on him nailing it and the game going into extra time. Has the rule changed???

Comparing Oranges with elephants there lad. Embarrassing comparison.

Replying To yew_tree:  "Yea a bit like 2013 when we played ye ;) Kerry would never collapse against us in a final. All joking aside Donegal were the best team throughout the league and that was some performance today. So well deserved and congrats.

The worry is have from a Donegal perspective is, can you keep this going thru to the end of July? Kerry missing a few players today and now enter the luxury of the Munster Championship while Donegal have to go to extreme battle in Ulster. If ye both advance to the final again it will be very interesting to see what happens."
Thanks yew tree, I think we can keep it going hopefully, a lot depends on how Ulster goes, we have a 4 week run in to the Down game, on the form book we should be winning that game well but this is Championship and it's Ulster so you can take nothing for granted, I think we may have been guilty of that a small bit under previous management in 2020 and we ran ran onto a very good hungry Cavan side in the Ulster final who hadn't read the script about us taking on the Dubs next.
Exciting Summer ahead for lots of teams, the race for Sam is on and there are in truth a good few teams with realistic hopes of winning it.
Kerry are Kerry and we know when the Summer comes they will be a different team and very hard to beat,
ignore yesterdays result but the one thing I take from it is you'd never have seen the likes of that great Dublin team take such a tanking, so despite them having that off day and playing a bit of rope a dope they are beatable and that I think gives lots of teams encouragement now.

What has that got to do with it? Is he not allowed a comment?
It was 3 punches, one of which was very dangerous. Clearest red card you'll see.
BTW Murphy is a fantastic player so he doesn't need to do that

What? You're a bit muddled with your analogies.

No such rule exists. A black card offence does not warrant a 50 metre advancement. It's impeding a player after a free ahas been awarded

Conlon deliberately dragged the Cork player down. Took the black card and was appluaded off the pitch. Cork had free from where the offence occurred.

It's been happening all league and will continue to happen until the GAA punish cynical gamesmanship.

On a side note I'd love to know how the referee and his officials did not observe Corks 3-up breach near the end???? That is a 50 metre free. And Brennan would have slotted that.

Some very embarrassing mental gymnastics from some posters here about the blatant strike to the head from Murphy. One poster has said it's a mistimed tackle due to his age and another has somehow brought Kyle Hayes into the conversation. Accept it was an intentional, dirty act in the heat of the moment that deserved a straight dismissal.

Who knows if a red would have affected the outcome but I doubt it would. Donegal were head and shoulders above Kerry in every aspect.

You'll always have petty if's, and's, and but's, at the end of game like that. Never matters in the bigger picture really. Meath by far the better team, should have won by a good bit more. Meath could hold their own in Division 1 next season. Can only see the Cork elevator going back down ... with a bang!
