Yes they are and would probably have one more only for off days but any day you are beat by it is because the opposition were better. A testament to their strength is Billy O' Keeffe was club hurler of the year and did not make the team the next year or since. Playing Intermediate. Ruddle is only a regular this year after winning an All Ireland for them. Patrick Fitzgerald the same though playing for Waterford. Young Hartley got a game because Mahoney was out. You wait your turn and seemly no complaints. Other young prospects like Cuddihy and a few minor like Spain waiting their turn. Aaron O'Neill another young player stepped in seamlessly to their full back line this year. An intermediate team that would win Waterford and be a force in Munster. Even if the old guard retired and Coughlan and Shane did they would still be a force. They will get beaten on an off day in Waterford and De La Salle nearly did.
Personally I think they have not given as much to Waterford as you would expect. When Mount Sion were on top they had 12 but then again they would put their granny on the Waterford team because they picked it.

Replying To Canuck:  "If they win on Sunday will be the most winning club of all time in Munster. That is an achievement in a province that have the hurling counties of Tipp,Cork, Limerick. Ballyhale still crying in their cereal since that win. They were with in two points when Ruddle put the ball in the net. He did score right? Or should he have put it wide to satisfy their detractors ? We have posters of the opinion they are not as strong anymore. What do you think ? The biggest challenge they had in Waterford and Munster this year so far was in their own training ground against their second team. I don't know what they will win or not as not a supporter of them but do recognize their talent. A lot of nonsense and a crutch about their pick. Family and cousins the back bone. I think they should break up the Mahonys and only allow 2 of the 4 brothers and no cousins play for Ballygunner."
They (Ballygunner) are an amazing club. Their consistency is remarkable. Unreal how they just keep on winning.
