Would expect Shane to miss out but you never know. Great to hear Cian Molloy is back hopefully he can feature . Happy to hear Mark is fit to start in goal too given how inexperienced our back up is and this is basically a knockout game for us . We need to follow the approach of our minors in the second half on Saturday . The workrate was through the roof starting in our full forward line. We have to be much better in the air and on breaking balls around the middle and half forward line also. In Wexford park I'd always give us a chance but we will need to improve both on the field and management team. If things are clearly not working like the space we left in front of the Kilkenny full forward line was criminal and how we didn't even make a change at half time when we were lucky to be not 9 or 10 points down. Management have to be far quicker making these changes before the game gets away from us. We have it in us to beat Dublin but we need players and management stepping up. Hoping for a big vocal home crowd Saturday . Hopefully our minors can give the county a huge lift before throw in and get us to a first Leinster final since 2019 Afinestick96 (Wexford) - Posts: 1047 - 06/05/2026 11:31:21 2671253 Link 0 |

More skillful id say more different skills and to master hurling u need to start from young age . My point is playing one against the other is nt helping either . The trap is for every hurling first county there are 2 football first counties and some if hurling strongholds are also serious football counties . . Which will push back against hurling if the hurling royalty persist in discouraging football and vice versa and yes hurling is an artform that needs constant attention to even learn basic skills . How are we ever going develop hurling in counties if they are told constantly sure football is s..t its just counter productive . Did you ever hear keep ur friends close but your enemies closer . Physicality and athletism in hurling is as important now as skill . Our own players are quite skilful but are nt at the races when it comes to physicality and athletism. Can u see us competing with Limerick or cork in reality . Skill level yes in high hurling . But there is skill in football just in different ways . But if you only love hurling its a fairly biased and one sided opinion and easy to say sure anyone can be competitive in football . I fear for hurling in general especially in our own county . My first love is hurling so I m not trying to play up.football I m just trying to look objectively at how hurling can grow . Formertownie (Wexford) - Posts: 586 - 06/05/2026 11:34:59 2671254 Link 0 |

Hopefully, we get a big crowd in, Dublin aren't known for having a great hurling support but it'd be a bit embarrassing if we didn't massively outnumber them, liked the idea that we should copy KK and parade U10s from different clubs at HT ElGranSenor (Wexford) - Posts: 1150 - 06/05/2026 13:32:42 2671287 Link 0 |

Is there any hope of us doing something similar to Kilkenny with underage teams on Saturday . Would be brilliant to have a huge vocal Wexford crowd.

I know a mail went out to all clubs last week, inviting them to bring their U10s for a parade at half time. It could be a great spectacle all right. But I wouldn't like to be the one trying to supervise it on the day itself! Pikeman96 (Wexford) - Posts: 3575 - 06/05/2026 14:40:08 2671309 Link 0 |

Agree with everything you said here and on Chin. Its too easy for teams to outnumber him when he plays at full forward. Get him out at half forward. Play with intensity and passion and the crowd will row in behind us then

I agree would be hard to supervise but if clubs row in behind it it should create a great atmosphere. Would imagine all the u10 teams will be located in the open side seating and clonard end. Lets hope they make plenty of noise. I have to say I thought the Kilkenny crowd were extremely vocal there was even a serious roar when Kilkenny came onto the field before the game. Us supporters have to row in behind the lads from the off and the players and management need to deliver on Saturday. We have had enough near misses now against Dublin its time to deliver now.

Well, you're partly right :) I happen to have that mail myself as I'm involved with the underage section of my club. It says the kids will be accommodated on the open side all right, but at the Pineridge end, rather than the Clonard side. Anyone else thinking of taking up a spot around there - would say you can expect plenty of noise all right! Pikeman96 (Wexford) - Posts: 3575 - 06/05/2026 16:03:15 2671335 Link 0 |

We only lost the 2021 minor final by 2 points. We were very unlucky not to win it, we were 3 up at HT, and we besieged their goal at the end.

Some of those lads got their revenge in 2023 when they beat Kilkenny twice in the u20 Leinster Championship. Viking66 (Wexford) - Posts: 19452 - 06/05/2026 18:57:21 2671366 Link 0 |

Do we have 1 big performance in us? I think we will come out fighting on Saturday. Alas I don't think it will enough. Nothing points towards a win based on the last 6 months. Yellowhelmet (Australia) - Posts: 178 - 06/05/2026 21:24:43 2671382 Link 0 |

While we might not be in the best place its not as if we are playing a Kilkenny, Galway or Munster team. Paull (Wexford) - Posts: 274 - 07/05/2026 08:04:07 2671394 Link 1 |

I see Wexford Gaa are advertising encouraging all under 10 teams in the county to come and join half time parade on saturday. All u10 players and mentors are free into Saturdays games. Great initiative to be fair and hopefully it helps generate a huge atmosphere Afinestick96 (Wexford) - Posts: 1047 - 07/05/2026 12:15:37 2671443 Link 0 |

Spot on - there is nothing or very little between our teams tbh. It will be some battle on Sat. A very short championship season for one of us. ;o( Fionn (Dublin) - Posts: 4928 - 07/05/2026 14:44:44 2671459 Link 0 |

It feels like die or die for both teams on Saturday. Our backs our to the wall and we have to deliver. To be fair Dublin are probably a bit further down the line in terms of development but I still think there will be nothing between us in Wexford Park
