For the 1st time since davys days im very confident this sat evening against the cats..really think we can get some kind of result against them..john donnelly wil be missing for them now aswel..as long as we shut down there 3 main men tj eoin cody and cian kenny and i expect the 2 recks and hearne to do that..i can see shane picking up eoin cody... got a feeling foley wil start on tj but damien will be deployed back on him if tj is lording it..i cant see liam ryan starting if he got no game time last Saturday...as regards sat 1st half was terrible but i put that down to the pitch just think take the points and move on...like the look of eamonn wickham always attacks the ball in half back line thought o leary did well aswell...squad wil hopefully strengthen with patsy donohoe and cian bryne getting back onto the bench

I dunno, I would say Sheridan is one of their best, him and Cian Boran probably

A win is a win is a win as they say.
We got the 2 points we needed on Saturday, listened on the radio and it did not sound like a performance for the ages.
But all we had to do was avoid a loss and we did that.
My father said Kildare were dogged but limited and we left them in the game by not putting pressure on them. When we did put pressure on them, they creaked and panicked and we punished but we didn't do it enough in the first half. He said we need up our work rate massively next weekend or Kilkenny will hammer us. Even with how bad they were v Galway you would imagine a backlash is ahead.
So out the door with 2 points. Now, the biggest challenge and what an opportunity Wexford have. To leave Kilkenny on null point after 2 games. I hope a huge Wexford crowd go to Kilkenny and get behind the team. They need our support, Wexford support can be the 16th man. Would love to be there.
With Offaly picking up a point v Dublin, Leinster got very interesting. After 2 rounds its way too early for permutations but aside from Galway it is 2 teams from 4. Kilkenny looked very poor on Saturday that opportunity knocks. Even if we lose, its still all to play for against Dublin. But a win really puts us in a strong position with Galway and Dublin at home. Win one of those and get something v Offaly and Wexford could make a Leinster Final.

I agree StoreysTash. Massive opportunity for us on Saturday. Kilkenny will be hurting but also their confidence is bound to be effected and we have to capitalise on that. A win would leave us in a fantastic position going into the break week. Hope a huge Wexford crowd travels. I thought there was a decent Wexford crowd in Newbridge and would expect more in Nowlan Park

Simon Leacy is their best hurler. Cian Boran second best. Sheridan would be their Jacko.

There was a good crowd of us up there in fairness. Hopefully more will travel next Saturday.

Replying To Timbertony:  "TJ Reid does very little running these days either but is still very strong in the air. If Ryan is any way fit then he should start on him. Most of our other defenders are weak in the air. Donnelly is a loss for them in that regard too.

Need to take the game to KK early on. The natives in the stands likely to get very restless if we can get any kind of run on them. Neither team going to go very far this season on the evidence of play through league and championship."
Hes not fit.

Yeah, I thought there was a good Wexford crowd there too, was in the stand and down the back at HT, there were a lot more people there in purple and gold than there were in Kildare colours, decent enough Wexford crowd in the McDonald's just outside Kilcullen on the way back

Will be interesting to see how much of a crowd there is in Nowlan Park on Saturday, our crowds have been maligned in recent years but I think Kilkenny's have been even worse, will be interesting to see how much backing they get from their own county; do they support them when their backs are to the wall or will they just stay away because they're so negative about their team?

That's another reason why I'd like to see a big Wexford crowd there, if there are more Wexford people there than Kilkenny people, the players from both sides will know that early on and the Kilkenny players hardly need any more negativity, imagine going into Nowlan Park for a crunch game and there are more away fans there than home fans, that certainly wouldn't help them psychologically

I wonder how often we will see/hear this talk about a 'Kilkenny backlash'. If there isn't one on Saturday when will it arrive? When they play Kildare?

We were supposed to get one last Saturday. Bubbles and Connors tipped them to win, probably expecting 'the backlash'. Which wasn't an unreasonable stance. We all expected them to be better.
They weren't. They were taking on water almost from the throw in and were pretty much sunk by HT given they had the first half wind.

We eventually beat them by a point a man and our best player Cathal Mannion didn't even score.

The emperor has no, or very few clothes, folks.

Time to go up there and get it done. KK are nothing to be frightened of these days.

Bring a decent crowd and it could tip the balance as the home crowd could be hostile enough to their own if it's not going well. Be no harm if we could dampen the mood a bit further on Wednesday either.

Wexford 1/1 -9 v Kildare tomorrow

Kildare will have to come out and attack as they have to win the game. Obviously Wexford need a result too but Kildare won't be able to play 8 in defence as against Galway. This could be very comfortable.

The evens is a big price I feel

The 2/9 above is hilariously short

I don't care to be honest.

Our record against them speaks for itself.

I think there'll be a good Wexford crowd. We're bringing 10s and 12s up for a game then on to nowlan park.

They'll come out all guns blazing. Of we weather that I believe we'll win this game.

They were very lucky to beat is there in 24.

Looks like they've named the same U20 team as the last day

Kilkenny seem to have made a good few changes for their game against Galway

Keith confirmed in the Wexford people he is hopeful to have Darren Codd , Cian Molloy and Simon Donohoe back into the 26 this weekend. Along with Jippo maybe being ready to feature this is a massive boost . Cian Byrne is out however with a hamstring strain.
Best of luck to the under 20s tonight hopefully we can get the win to get through to the quarter final

Kilkenny dont have to win. And it might suit them better not to.
