Thought Dempsey was very good last night but never really had him down as an intercounty type, maybe as a full-back given we have a bit of a problem there right now and he's a big, physical, athletic type who doesn't take any prisoners Maybe Conor Firman is worth another ago at corner-back for Wexford? Well done to St. Martins, a good club of people and showed yesterday that they have a never say die belief to them. This needs to be replicated in so many clubs in Wexford. Jack gave a performance for the ages. But, they should not view now as bonus territory. That's just self-limiting also-ran talk. There were at least 12 lads played 1st team Football and Hurling for them, likely even more. To expect them to fulfil an Intermediate fixture on an AstroTurf pitch and be ready for a Senior Semifinal the following weekend was pretty unreasonable.
