Do not let anyone tell you otherwise."
When was the last time they reached an AIF?

It's not a 20 minute drive for them from Donegal on Saturday or Donegal supporters on Sunday.

Tyrone eere playing at same time (not in omagh), Monaghan playing at the same time (not in clones). I don't mind going to a neutral venue but they need to be more clear about their reasons for not picking clones.or omagh

Not against the other teams in the group. How many times were ye beaten in this year's championship?

He also must have never drove from Hyde Park to Bekan (not our training ground we don't have one all be it renting Bekan this year when available) as he stated it takes only 38mins!!

But look Jim is creating a siege mentality and "us against the world" mantra and I've no problem with that. He's a great manager and a unifying force for Donegal.

That's no how football matches work. Scores in one match don't count in other matches

Replying To Breffni40:  "The natural progression of this whinge is that having Donegal home games in the "extreme east" of the county in Ballybofey is an obvious insult to the good people of Glencolmcille or Dunfanaghy for example.

No there isn't any nuance to the topic, everyone must be catered for ALL of the time"
finally, grma Breffni, as a Cloughaneely man I am sick of the tyranny from South Donegal!

To be fair to Jim McGuinness, he repeated what a lot of Donegal fans were complaining about the week before the game.
The fact that the Roscommon chairman who is on the CCCC and was involved in the decision making, got favorable press following his RTE Radio 1 response to the complaint was strange, particularly of two things

1. As Roscommon chairman, I would have thought it a conflict of interests in him voting to move the game to his own home venue, but it seems not.

2. If anyone followed up on his comments about the distances, it showed that he or the CCCC hadn't bothered to check the distances. 2 hours from Belmullet, almost 4 hours from places like Malin, like its a considerable difference in travel times from the extremes.

The "Forgotten County" tag came from years of political neglect due to us being isolated due to the border location and there is generally a mindset that we are always an after-thought in funding, planning etc at Political level and I think that maybe crept into thinking for this too. Its not that we think they are anti-Donegal, more so that they never take that location and lack of infrastructure properly into consideration. Now in fairness to the CCCC, I know Sligo wasn't available and it was a hectic schedule, so its probably harsh to single them out.

Are they going to make modifications to the new Bekan Dome to avoid future storm damage like that? Or is it just a case of deflate it next time? Its was a fantastic facility.
