Replying To GDL:  "You don't get it because you're dim and insighless. Donegal or Galway can't play Armagh, same group and Ulster final. Armagh can't also play Dublin as they were in the same group, previous fixtures are to be avoided so Donegal can't play Monaghan.
Tyrone v Dublin
Galway v Monaghan
Donegal v Meath
Kerry v Armagh
Mayo v London next Spring at Ruislip. Ha!"
You are rather dim yourself or you would know that Donegal can play Monaghan.

This whole Championship QF draw with 'they can't play them and they can only play these ' is totally ridiculous with only 8 teams remaining… Simply put 4 teams in one bowl and 4 in another and draw them out…and have it on the Sunday game… not on the radio on Monday morning…

Was I hearing things or did they draw Meath out to play Donegal and then changed it?

Same as that. I thought I definitely heard us drawn to play Meath as well.

Hopefully in 2026 they'll do away with this outdated craic of doing the draws for our flagship competition at 8.30 on a Monday morning.

Anyway, another battle with Monaghan awaits. This will not be easy.

Hearing things. Meath came out and of Donegal and Galway, Galway were drawn to play the Royals.

i guess the GAA will try to put dublin and kerry games on different days, but surely wont be able to with galway and donegal out yesterday? youd imagine it will be donegal v monghon at 2pm and meath v galway at 4pm sunday. do fans rather being on the first or second game? donegal would rather first youd say and be headed up the road home by 4:30 intead of 7pm on a sunday evening. wont bother galway as much with M6 motorway to get gome on. meath fans could go to coppers that night and get a taxi home and still be in bed at 3am!

But they said they put Donegal in to the bowl and then drew out Meath afterwards? It was very confusing

I heard the purpose of the Monday morning draws is a strategic marketing move, so that Monday morning headlines will be all GAA based, as otherwise Monday publicity is shared across all sports at the weekends.

Right so I listened back and they put Donegal in to the bowl as Galway were already in it for the Tyrone 50/50 draw with Dublin, then they drew out the provincial winner(Meath) and Galway came out between them and Donegal. That definitely could've been communicated better.

Did my own "tissue" before checking odds,

I reckon Dublin at 10/11 and Monaghan at 11/4 are good value. Not a prediction of result, but both a better chance than odds especially if Con is back which is pretty certain.

Other games priced much as I thought but again, no surprise if one or two go other way,

It honestly seemed fairly straight forward to me. They added Donegal to the bowl and then had to draw from those that advanced straight to quarters. Jimmy's well and truly creating a siege mentality in Donegal ha.

Was hoping to get a crack at Monaghan but it's a great draw for Galway v Meath.
Wonder will many neutrals be banging on about an upset here like they were blowing smoke up Down!

Joe, where can you listen back to the draw?

Dublin are evens with Boyles. You'll get a bit bigger on both Dublin and definitely Monaghan on Betfair on the day anyway.

Not because they're priced wrong as such and will drift, more because a quarter final will be bet close to 100% with good liquidity. Boyles are currently taking 12% margin on the Monaghan game for example which is laughable
