Replying To clooney:  "We in Clare haven't the in-depth talent to cope 4 players missing from our all Ireland final day that's our main problem Brian Lohan gave game time to a lot of players with only limited return as well as that some players from last year not motoring well . We are not offering excuses though and Waterford fully deserved there win. On the Adam Hogan incident he is a fine player has won a lot for somebody so young he's a niggly corner back but I would say not dirty but I hope he's embarrassed by his simulation yesterday it will bring trouble on him & Clare it has to stop its creeping into the GAA now for quiet a while. A Waterford back tried a simulation too"
Adam Hogan is a fine player, very mobile and tenacious and he doesn't need to resort to that kind of thing.

My pet hate is his knack of turning into the opposing teams outstretched Hurley and pulling it up around his neck to buy a free. Whether that is street smarts or simulation probably depends on whether your from Clare or playing against Clare.

Its not just Adam Hogan doing it though. Every county has them, and the game is so quick a ref only has a split second to make a decision on whether to blow for a free or not. Some refs are worse than others for blowing (i.e. Flash Gordon, Johnny Murphy and Sean Stack) and if you get one of them it stands to reason the players will try and play the ref

And did that Waterford back fail or succeed in his attempt?

If they're able to look back on footage for retrospective bans for foul play like the Flanagan incident there definitely should be the same for fellas blatantly diving and cheating. It's happening all the time now and every team is at it at some point.

Wore the new one for the league, wore last years one v Cork and wore different one again v Waterford yesterday. It's only a small thing but it's very odd"

Waterford are capable of simulation like all teams. The camera showed Daly from behind. If you were on the other side you would clearly see he got elbowed in the face. Cusack is fine with head butting by Cork and is fooling no one when using his tinted glasses.
I hate. Simulation by all teams. Here what you do:
Have a unsportsmanlike assessment or simulation. Throw the ball in now if a free was going to be called. If no free give one the other way. No cards or Johnnie red card will have a field day.
You got to be careful not to open another can of worms. A player foul in the square and it left to one of these refs allowed decide what is simulation.
The best way is for players and managers to stop doing this sh-t and make it a no no in your own team.
