Replying To Square_B:  "The gombeens complaining about the 'Grab All Association' would want to take out last years Annual Report and have an ACTUAL look at the figures. Were it not for rental income from concerts and the like, the GAA would have run a small deficit. Most of the money raised through the GAA goes back to your own county boards to pay for, you know, the likes of Games Promotion Officers and so forth. And yes, the GAA does have problem childs like Cork, Mayo and certain clubs that they've had to bail out through mismanagement. The organisation doesn't run on fresh air, and would certainly cost far more to run were it not for the amatur ethos. I'd far rather give my 100eur for an All Ireland ticket than to a soccer club across the water or to our friends in the IRFU who are well fit to charge for games of less importance."
Well said!

Replying To Seanfanbocht:  "You want them to cut income yet give more money to Casement Park.
Did ye do sums in your school?"
The GAA said its needs extra revenue for stadia yet that's why it needs GAAGo/+ etc yet it has pledged a pitiful amount to Casement Park and has shown no interest in increasing its contribution in fact in tried to claim the €50 million the Irish Government as an increase in its contribution. It has increased tickets prices and made excess revenue but put none of this extra money towards Casement Park.

The GAA has long been run in a very selfish manner . The GAA is putting increasing burdens on hard pressed supporters to maximise profits to generate this excess revenue.

Well said and I guarantee most of the whiners are mot even members of their local clubs. €100 for a final ticket! About 10 pints in Temple Bar.

Replying To Fionn:  "In general, I mean,
I know there are juvenile, student and OAP ticket prices but a family ticket works in other sports and definitely worth bringing it in for GAA.

I would think it is near impossible for a FAMILY to get 4 tickets for an All Ireland Final.
People are lucky to get 1 ticket for an AI Final.

Looking at the AI Hurling Semi Final where Cork had approx 70,000 fans, which in it self is remarkable.
I was looking at the ticket breakdown for Finals...:
59,212 - county allocations
10,528 - Premium & Corporate
2,594 - Season Tickets
2,358 - Term Tickets
1,666 - Schools
1,250 - Sponsors
820 - Staff & Sub Committees
800 - Ard Chomhairle & GAA Presidents
480 - Overseas
380 - Provinces
258 - Press
240 - Third Level
228 - National Referee Panel
212 - Rounders/Handball
200 - Croke Park Residents
188 - Mini Games
148 - Match day teams
140 - Camogie
100 - Ladies Football
74 - Tv & Radio
70 - Jubilee Team
60 - Sport Ireland"
They won't ever do family tickets for all ireland fi also because demand is too high. Just like irfu and provinces in rugby do deals/family tickets for lwss popular games and don't for new zealand tests or England tests

Tell me this and tell me no more. What EXACTLY has the gaels of Antrim offered to put towards this project apart from the land? Why should the GAA put anymore to this project without a contribution from Antrim GAA? In fact my county wants a few euro as well... why should we let that go to Casement as well? How about we plant a magic money trees? Would that keep you happy?

On your second point... refer to my earlier post above...
