Decent crowd…. more than for last year's equivalent finals they said so as I said hurling attendance figures on the rise everywhere regardless of the figures…. Same can't really be said for the football unfortunately…!

Nothing to say about the disgrace of Cavan fans being outnumbered in their home game after beating Mayo and having ascendancy.

Tight show

I'd estimate it was c7,500.
Total attendances over the first 2 rounds estimated 180,000."
Going by your estimation thats about 90000 per round . With the introduction of the double elimination next season one round [8 games] is being is being shaved off the A.I.C which equates to potentially around 90000. I wonder will ticket prices increase for the A.I.C games in order to attempt to make up for the income shortfall due to the loss of these 8 games.

Actually couldn't believe the lack of Cavan fans there. Usually they turn up regardless but after the weekend before I expected there to be a huge amount. They were badly outnumbered

Tight being the key word there Kev.

Seen a few of them sneaking in after half time once the turnstiles had been unmanned.

43,580 Cork Limerick
37,503 Galway Kilkenny / Kildare Laois

2,104 Sligo Carlow

Lots of free kids tickets for the Leinster final was a good call, that was a hard sell given how the round robin went. Looked like a decent atmosphere. Good crowd for the McDonagh final too.

I think GAA attendances have been pretty solid this year. Some up some down. The football group stages have worked surprisingly well this year. It's actually a pity they are being scrapped.

Interesting to see the falling attendances microscope has switched to Leinster rugby. Just 15,762 at their URC final!

To be fair I think they look at the URC a bit like strong GAA counties look at our league. Doesn't really capture the imagination. The novelty of rugby games in GAA stadia never fails to draw a crowd though. The URC final will test that. Do the GAA still get 400k regardless of the crowd I wonder .

I think any hurling person wants the game to be going well everywhere. Get Dublin, Offaly and Wexford up the ladder a bit further and you have a cracking Leinster Championship that will draw big crowds.

The GAA should be investing in underage in these counties where needed. Similarly they should be keeping an eye on Waterford or any Munster county that might be slipping. This is the show case that really helps grow the game.

If you could then space out the Munster and Leinster championship to have Leinster games one week and Munster the next with competitive provincial hurling games live every weekend through out April, May and June the game would have a great platform.

Plenty more to be done too in other counties of course but the low hanging fruit must be assisting counties where the game is already strong. Get them going will and there will be a financial and promotional spin off to lift the game across the board.
