We have a pretty young team also. Probably around half the outfield starters will be 23 or less.

Replying To WEXILE:  "Well done u20s, ai thought it was gonna be a bad day when we went 4 points or so behind before half time. Decent crowd supporting Wexford today.

Any word on the injury front, we were missing lads today which makes the result a bit sweeter.

Just reading through comments, I really don't think it's OK to be cutting the back off underage teams online, we know well enough young lads read these forums. Supporters should know better and actually show some support"
Totally agree, we are constantly moaning on this site about Wexford minor and U20 teams, but why would they commit with such negativity. Well done today, great result, and hopefully they can progress even further. I'm not Wexford born, my dad is from Wexford but I'm always hopeful a Wexford team will triumph any grade, football or hurling. Good luck next week also for the seniors against Antrim.

Spot on Wexile. Some of the lads posting on this can be unbelievably negative. At the same time constructive criticism can be very positive, a lad can work on poorer aspects of his game if they are pointed out.
Wait til the Senior team have a bad game, there will be lads coming out the woodwork that haven't posted since we lost to Clare.

Too many lads getting carried away after a meaningless defeat. I'm sure these lads will give them a better game if we cross paths again.

Didn't look like we were going to win this game but fair play to the lads we did. Awful first half, Dublin were so much better throughout the first 30 minutes. They showed much more composure and got their scores easier.
However the 2nd half we came out with determination and purpose.
The lads dug in and clawed their way back in to the game.
Roche was our main man and showed his class when most needed.
All the lads gave it everything in that gripping final 30+ minutes and really defended heroically in the last few minutes when the Dubs threw the kitchen sink at us.
Not a perfect performance by any means but that game will bring them on in leaps and bounds but a more balanced performance in our next games will be required.

Our Seniors? Would've thought we'd be closer to the opposite tbh

Would agree that some on here are too critical although at the same time, there are still things to work on, Dublin scored a good bit more from play than us today, we were a bit reliant on frees, haven't seen much of him but I liked the look of Jones at the back

Also like Jack Nolan, like the way he goes about things on the pitch, is he a grandson of Pat Nolan (1960s AI-winning goalkeeper) by any chance?

I don't mind the structure too much, it's basically a mini-league to determine the seeding for a knock-out championship but the funny thing is that I nearly think you're better off coming 2nd than either 1st or 3rd

Kilkenny will now have a very long break until the SF (Where I have the feeling they will meet a very good Offaly side) and Dublin now have to play four games if they want to reach a Leinster final, we now get a decent enough break before the QF where I think we'll be playing the winners of the game between Laois and then one of the teams who qualifies from Tier 2

That's right. Then if we win that we face Galway I think

Replying To Jedobi:  "Got that wrong. Well done, showed some of the fighting spirit Wexford teams have shown in the past. Everything so negative on here from Wexford supporters, must be dispiriting for players at any level if they read this forum. Hope they don't, just ignore the noise and keep battling for the Purple and Gold."
I've thousands of posts and very few of them negative. It was a great second half and a good result but I am disappointed with how this management team have performed with the resources they have. That's a valid opinion.

I'm not sure we can judge them after only 2 games? That's the 1st win by a Wexford team in Parnell Park since 3 years ago at minor. We don't know how the older lads on the panel are going in training either.

As someone who is based in Dublin, I've seen most underage games that wexford have played in the Nell in the last ten years. We invariably have lost games by a few points and mostly it was a fair reflection too. I was delighted with the performance in the second half today and they showed great spirit and work rate. A lot of those lads lost a minor game to up here last year. Team were well set up and worked for each other. Fair play to them .

I only seen the game on clubber and what I will say was that it was on of the best halves of hurling I've seen from us in a while.

I hate being critical but I thought it was a very poor standard of game overall, bad touches and more scrums than in the leinster game the night before. I was talking to a buddy who was at fhe game and he said the weather was actually a factor and the pitch really heavy which I surprising for parnell.

But having said that here's a game that turned into a dog fight and a battle and we came out the better side of that battle, that can't be underestimated

Rossiter said he's hopeful he'll play some part against Antrim so I would say he'll be on the bench if that's the case. Article is behind a paywall so didn't see the full thing.

Will probably know more from the people paper tomorrow/Wednesday.

Keith Rossiter said in an interview they hurled Kildare last week. Anyone hear what the score was or starting team?

He said he had a slight setback, but is hoping Jippo will be good to go for the Antrim game. David Codd has a knee injury and is out for a few weeks, Shane Reck has a minor niggle. But how true that all is this close to the start of the Championship remains to be seen.
