100% agree - there was a lot of decent U20 hurlers named in a previous post that should have been involved in some sort of Senior setup but never were asked. From a commercial perspective, Davy was a gravy train but from a player development perspective it was a massive fail by Wexford GAA. We are now reaping what we sowed unfortunately

Agreed.

All is not lost However. While some of Rossi's tactical and selection decisions have been frustrating, it's clear that he's trying hard to catch up on the developmental work we missed.

I am confident we will improve, and the timing of us being in 1b is ultimately a good thing.

Lads its the fallacy of the outside manager.
They are there for 3 years and after that its not their issue.
Micheal Donoghue did the same in Dublin and some players walked away never to return.
Rossiter has to re-build but does he have the raw materials to work with? Jury out on that for me. I hope he does because Leinster Hurling needs Wexford, Dublin, Offaly, to take the fight to Kilkenny.

Yeah, working from the bottom up in 1B might not be a bad thing. It will help bring on new and existing players.
It will be a different environment. Small crowds, playing mostly against weaker counties.
It may help to build confidence and give management an opportunity to try out new tactics.
They can try out lads in different positions without the pressure of 1A hurling.
Dublin were in 1B this year and will be there again next year. Didn't do them any harm. Look at where they are now.
It will be Keith's job to get things right.
He has surely learnt from the mistakes of the past
1B will be no pushover. Clare, Dublin and even Kildare could be tricky enough.
Next year will tell a lot as to where we are.
