Replying To OpenStandWall: "Sad to see Liam Og go but his time has probably come, owes this county nothing. His performances against Clare and Waterford in 2014 were unreal and Kilkenny in 2023 to all but save us from the brink won't be forgotten. The county's loss will be our gain on the club scene."
Mogie was a fantastic servant . His performances against Clare in Ennis and in the Park in 2014 will live long in the memory. He was outstanding in 2023 and is one of the main reasons we weren't relegated to Joe Mac on that dramatic day against Kilkenny. I will never forget the roar in Croke Park after his point against Kilkenny in 2019 following Fannings goal.

I think so too would expect someone like Tucker Kinsella who has a few years s and c with the senior squad to start
Thanks Liam og, Diarmuid and Matthew, absolute titans among men and they leave owing absolutely nothing to Wexford. It's also looking unlikely that Liam Ryan will ever get back to a level of consistently being available for selection which is a huge issue for us going forward after losing so much experience already. This is just my opinion but I'd be very tempted to move on without Conor McDonald and Jack O Connor. In McDonald's case he certainly peaked as a hurler at an early age but in the last few years in particular he's been a shadow of his former self and I think we could do with moving on without him. Jack O Connor has never performed consistently since day one and is certainly not good enough to keep including in the squad for 1 good outing in the league campaign. Both are also up around the 30 mark if I'm not mistaken so their best years are definitely behind.
Rossiters hand has been been forced to a certain extent with the retirements and so on but he's on a long contract so he needs to just start building a squad capable of consistently competing for Leinster championships and once we have that level of consistency then we can start thinking of bigger prizes.
Let's be honest here and say that the team which won Leinster in 19 most definitely was a good batch of hurlers but they couldn't/didn't deliver the trophies to match their undoubted potential/ability. Obviously a big part of that was down to Fitzgerald's lack of interest in building a panel but I think it's time now that Keith starts a complete rebuild of the team and the squad because the previous one hasn't delivered full stop.

A rebuild in progress . Lets just get behind them regardless of what happens . We need to be patient snd let the team develop if it does nt go well we should not criticise or abandon our responsibility . As ultimately the county teams reflect the effort from all of us that are involved in any way with clubs , schools or even our children . The players are a product of our effort or lack of . Don't forget today effort those lads on the panel are putting in the gym the dark wet cold nights of fitness training etc . whilst we are at home in front of a fire writing these posts as if we know the answers. The developmenymg of a player a team a panel a backroom team is complex and demanding so let's give them time and a chance to develop . We do our part by giving them every support we can .
The very best of luck to all the lads retiring liam og , dok . Mattew and anyone else that left the panel that may have went unnoticed due to lack of game time or profile they have put in as much effort as anyone. Thank you for some great days but mostly thank you for the dedication, effort and sacrifice ye made over the years . We are as a county forever grateful and proud to call ye Wexford men . Hope liam Ryan makes a full recovery and whether he ever hurls again i hope he does nt have any lasting problems. Nothing but admiration for anyone that puts in rhe commitment needed nowadays for intercounty .

Not sure it would be wise to drop Mac and Jacko from the panel this year at all. We've lost Mogie , Dee and Matt and will be without Jippo for the league. We need some sort of experience in the panel to help the young lads along.
