Hopefully the race of her life so far as a 21 year old woman. No point in thinking too much about when you are 28, a lot can happen in life and you just don't know when you will get the next chance. Kellie Harrington has a great attitude, she doesn't look past the fight that's in front of her and she goes into every fight wanting to fight to her best. A medal of any colour would be a huge achievement for her Has to be said, even getting to a final in these events is new territory for an Irish athlete and a great achievement in itself She's proven she is world class and the future looks bright Might be a major event too early, but you never know. Then if she stays injury free and keeps progressing, the World Championships is only a year away, and she has the experience now. She absolutely must do to get to where she is at such a young age, I didn't mean that she didn't have a good attitude. I just mention Kellie Harrington because she has spoken about just taking each fight as it comes and not looking past the next fight. I think that seeing the women's 4 x 400m team (without her) qualify for the final tomorrow will give Rhasidat a big lift and give her some additional confidence. It might take the pressure off a little bit as she now has two chances of winning a medal. Sophie Becker and Sharlene Mawdsley had both their fourth 400m races today and still were able to run very strong races. Hopefully Rhasidat can do herself justice tonight as she is an outstanding talent. Not to be for adeleke but wasn't for the want of trying..no shame in being beaten by 2 world champions and a European champion.she has done everyone proud and is only 21..hopefully her best years are all left to come..it really is brilliant to hear interviews with all these athletes,so honest and refreshing,no bull.. Running the relay, if she is not fatigued, should be a good tonic for Adeleke. She seemed to enjoy the team camaraderie before the European final. Becker will have to run below 51 again, Healy close to 51 and Mawdsley close to low 49s if they are to cause an upset and sneak on to the podium. It would be some finish if they can pull it off.
