But leaving that aside - let's just say your last line goes to the nub of the entire matter. There's a widespread perception that integration would mean that women's inter-county squads would get all the same things as the men's. But there hasn't been a single decent proposal as to where all the funding would come from to meet these extra costs."
It's up to the person putting forward an argument / making a point to provide the source. It's not up to me or anyone else to so that, just so we're all clear on that.

Anyhow back to the point, IF it turns out to be the case that everyone is being treated equally financially (and I say IF as there's nothing that I can see which suggests they will), the GAA will need to take a good long hard look at itself because it clearly won't be possible without new, annual, funding streams. Some resources are already paid for by the GAA with the benefit shared with the LGFA (for example GPO's at underage boys & girls). Clearly this is why integration has to be discussed with the details to be ironed out.

Where has it been said that integration will lead to ladies intercounty teams getting the same as men, rather than being linked to income through turnstiles? The u20s and minors currently don't get the same as our Senior intercounty team as it is for that reason. Likewise when we entered a Junior adult intercounty team they didnt get the same resources either.

In fairness, he was hardly putting forward an argument or making a point. He was just commenting on something that was in the news that day, but which you apparently hadn't seen in the news.

If I was to post somewhere on this forum that "Ballygunner came close to defeat yesterday, and needed two late goals to win the match", would you expect me to post a link to a match report in order to provide evidence of what I said?

I didn't say it's been said that women's teams will get the same as men's. I said there's a widespread perception out there that expects it to happen.

With all due respect, you must be aware of the complaints that arise from time to time from the Camogie/LGFA end of things, about how it's "unfair" that the men's teams get extra by way of things like mileage expenses, better meals after training and matches, overnight stays for longer trips to away matches, playing gear, and more. The expectation or aspiration of call-it-what-you-want is that such things would become more equal after integration.

Of course GAA minor and U20 teams don't get the same as the seniors, but that's beside the point. More the point is that the expectation would be for camogie/LGFA underage teams to get the same as the corresponding GAA underage team.
