Well that's a moronic statement. I would know 3 of the staff up there and by God they are all great club volunteers and one who does a lot of volunteering at county level. Why make statements like that when you no idea what you are talking about.

Weather will be a factor. It's also Father's Day so a lot of families will have plans. It's also silage season so the Mayo and a Dublin farmers are busy ;)

Two poor teams as both sets of supporters know.In a proper championship structure, both Cavan and Roscommon would have been out before yesterday with the number of games both have lost. A high scoring and entertaining game yesterday but neither team is at the races unfortunately . We'll follow Cavan out the next day most likely.

With two teams with very little to shout about this year the expected attendance was 5k. We have played you a lot over the last decade in league and championship and that was smallest crowd I've seen Cavan bring to match, not even a 1000 from Cavan attended the match I would say, most probably stayed away expecting a cagey low scoring affair instead they missed out on a high scoring shootout.

It was a knockout game,so there goes the Cavan clown's jeopardy argument out the window. Players have got what they wanted more games. It was an entertaining game as you mentioned and I wouldn't count the Rossies out yet.

It won't stop him whinging. Still having withdrawal symptons from 1947. He has no interest in GAA or allowing players to do what they want to do, play games. Having to pay to watch Cavan play 3 All Ireland Championship games is a deep cut too. Was much happier when his County took their annual beating in first round in Ulster and the lads could use their months of training to light up Gaelic Park. Like many others in his county he is living in the distant past. Doesn't realise we can get to Killarney, Cork and Galway without spending days cycling there. Like all good sporting Championships throughout the world our competition builds up the interest and excitement as it goes along. Next thing he will be telling the Yanks to do away with the prelimaries and just go straight to the Super Bowl. Dispense with having to watch the Chiefs destroying the Panthers 55-3 in Week 3 in a half empty stadium in Carolina in September. Walter Mitty is alive and kicking.

We shouldn't be too cocky after yesterday. Roscommon are a bit better than Cavan but we've already lost three games in this year's championship and will likely exit ourselves the next day.
