Replying To Doylerwex:  "My heart is broken lads. Probably 6/7 points better than them in the first half. Only 2 up at halftime.

To be fair Kilkenny really got stuck in from 35-50 and dominated.

We got back into it and I thought were a little unlucky.

The penalty was a really poor call. The challenge on Damien Reck immediately before it was a free out and probably a yellow card. Ball broke and penalty given. Fine margins.

It's the first time in many many years I was absolutely sure we were going to get there. Feels like Christmas has been cancelled"
We were a little flat after half time was the difference between winning and losing. Ref gave TJ 2 frees for diving that even the Kilkenny lads around me thought were a joke. But at the end of the day we left it behind us ourselves. Still we have Offaly or Laois up next. We are still in this.

Replying To wexfordwin:  "You need to read the rule. Neither were penalties. Matthew fouled him but he then took a pile of steps and the ref called back the free. He did not pull him down. The actual penalty decision was a farce.

Gordan gave them some very soft frees and he reffed the game from our half back line never getting near our forwards. He must have been trying to avoid the ploughed areas"
Rules. He pulled him back. It doesn't matter if he didn't go to ground

Replying To Fulgrim:  "We're still in it Doyler. Lads Cian Byrne is turning into a real star, what a performance from the young lad. We'll cause problems for whoever we play in the AI series."
He played well again. Thought all 4 of the lads who have stepped up from u20 the last 2 years to start that game did OK.

Now tell us about all the 'very soft frees' Gordon gave to Wexford?

Ref was excellent, Kilkenny better team.

How many times did a KK player get away with throwing up and catching the ball?

Replying To beano:  "Penalty decision was iffy alright but it came from our player not connecting with a sideline cut. Basic stuff.

Thought Mac was immense, Byrne very good too (I love his confidence in front of goal) and Hearne done a lot of good work again.

We go again, but the feeling is we possibly left a Leinster title behind us in the first two games."
"left a Leinster title behind us in the first two games"
Even if you'd won your first two games, you wouldn't have won a Leinster title you'd have qualified for the final. Your comment reeks of arrogance. The two best teams are in the Leinster final.

That makes it even more farcical that the 'penalty has to be one of the worst decisions I've ever seen'.
Also, I am far from being ignored on here.

The free count was 17 to 9 against us. I thought KK were the better team from 25 mins to 60 and we were better for the last ten and the first 25. It was a close game but Gordon did us no favours. Even the refereeing of the injury time was ridiculous.

Exactly, Wexford gave it a good lash and they are more than entitled to be disappointed but right result.

lol you'd know Wexford got under your skin in recent years. Commenting more on Wexford hurling than anyone. Best if luck in the final.

I hope should we win preliminary quarter that they play the quarter in Offally or Nowlan Park even bloody Waterford. Always in Semple or PUC

We fell asleep at the start of the second half we were at nothing and wrong kind of ball been sent into the forwards, Chin had a bad off day kilkenny backs were very good, as regards people calling for black card for O 'Hanlon if the linesman had of done his job 2 seconds before that the ball went over the line in front of me and in the second half tj's sideline cut was a wexford ball, very frustrating at the end

It's going to be a double header in Thurles more than likely

It was as the kilkenny lad was down for 40 seconds on the ground injured then Murphy taken forever to puck it out all during the 4 minutes injury time

The chance to get to a leinster final wasn't lost today. It was lost in the first two matches.

But we can take a few positives from this. 1. Cian Byrne hurled exceptionally well. 2. Chin and O'connor had off days by their own high standards and yet we were still in it to the bitter end.... I am not now as worried when Chin retires as I was 4 weeks ago... 3. Kilkenny people won't like me pointing this out but we were not beaten by Kilkenny we were beaten by TJ Reid. He is a once in a generation player but today we learnt we arnt as dependent on Chin as we taught can kilkenny say the same about TJ.

The Prem q/f will be away to laois or offaly which will be a tough test. And as usually the tiresome and predictable munster championship has the repeat pairing of Limerick and Clare. There is still an all Ireland semi to be fought for
