Absolutely unbelievable. Miles further for both sets of fans. There wasn't a huge crowd down there for our League game and it still took nearly an hour to get back to the low road out of Cork after the game also. If Thurlas is unavailable for some reason, could Limerick & Kilkenny toss for home advantage. Not right to be dragging people, families etc to Cork. Especially with the cost of petrol/diesel. I can tell you after going to 2 Wexford matches there v Clare on a Saturday afternoon and another v Waterford I will never set foot in PUC again unless I have another reason or two to be down in Cork at the time. Awful location, horrible road home from the place. 3 hours + no thank you. I suppose the only use it has served so far is a few GAA games, Ed Sheeran, Liam Millar memorial and Munster Rugby. It seems like madness, unless as was mentioned Thurles is unavailable, but I don't believe that's the case. They might as well play it in Clones, if they're playing in it in Cork. Is it my imagination or is there a huge drop off in the amount of goals been scored in hurling this season… An awful lot of teams across the 3 divisions are going 70 minutes without scoring a goal and somehow still winning .. Teams even in the very bottom division are regularly scoring 20+ points without hitting the net.. Maybe it's the tactics now to keep taking points as a lot less goals are going in….. Not alone is league final being played in cork but a family of 4 will pay €60 to go to match as there is a charge for under 16s..it will either be limerick or killkenny going as I can't see to many neutrals will travel..if 20,000 go to final it'll be a big crowd..when the ground won't be any where near full why charge for under 16s???people will say oh here he goes giving out again but we will be 2 weeks away from championship with at least 4 matches..in the past 8 days alone limerick had 17s and 29s in Waterford,league semi and another under 20 game..it's not just limerick supporters who are suffering..could the under 17 not have been played as part of a double header with senior championship??are our representartives on munster council not asking these questions?? Season ticket holders get 7 league matches free this year and first 2 championship matches free. Including league Semi final and national league final. Guaranteed ticket allocations and options to purchase for all the rest of the championship matches. Something to look into. Even if you can't attend all someone might use the ticket. I think a five for a teenager to go to a national league final isn't that bad. Price of a coffee and might have something to do with dedicated seat allocation for national finals. I'm surprised you don't have a position in UL, giving courses on the modern game! You'd be good at it. Amazing that Kiely hasn't invited you onto his backroom team. If it weren't so big he'd probably be on to you. Back to basics! Well the basics in Munster hurling as we knew them are no longer required. The two essentials to win an All Ireland in the 21st century are: strength and the ability to hold possession. Make space with short passing or with superior physical strength and drive the ball over the bar unmarked, simple stuff really. It's no longer called Munster hurling, it's now called Monster hurling!
