Congratulations Dublin, delighted for the players and the small but loyal Dublin hurling following.
Go and beat Cork now.

Replying To Bon:  "Fair play to ye Barney, a great game of Hurling. Delighted for all the real Dublin Hurling people like yourself. Hard to believe ye won it with only 14 players too."
They should also thank Kildare for giving them a run out last weekend. Only two teams benefited from the Joe Mc setup and it wasn't any of the teams in the Joe Mc. However it also puts the Kildare defeat into context of coming from the lower division and playing what is now one of the top 4 teams in the country.

Replying To BarneyGrant:  "Fair play. Limerick followers were hugely disappointed but magnamimous.

Then again, you and Cats have nothing to prove. Two greatest teams if all time. We beat a giant.

Others are not the same."
I dont know who the others are whom you're referring to (ok maybe one from my own county who posts a lot of bs here on HS) but I was delighted yesterday with Dublin's win. So thoroughly deserved. Played brilliant hurling and showed what a team can achieve when they fully believe in themselves and play with heart and passion allied with skill. Hearty congratulations to Dublin hurlers. Really hope you go on and repeat it against Cork. Hope ye can get the red card rescinded as well , under the letter of the law referees are under pressure to flash reds in these cases especially when it's on tv but there was no malice in the incident and in the spirit of the law a yellow would have been sufficient.

Well done to Dublin, It was one of the best wins for ye ever. I think that the red was punishment enough, a one game ban would be harsh. Cork are well capable of beating ye well but also capable of filling the togs now that Limerick are out and they are the favourites. I hope Dublin win it out.

It was the evening you live for.
Underdogs, down to 14, dying for the jersey. If you are willing to go to the trenches for the jersey you can do anything.
Great spirit in the team and a good Northside Dublin manager who knows what the jersey means to these players. You can't buy that spirit.
I just hope we can get CC back for the semi. They are not rescinding them this year like other years.

I'd say there's zero chance of it being rescinded, whether he made contact or not the intent was there, tackling with an elbow way out is looking for trouble. Pity as he's been some servant and to miss out on the semi is tough

Still in hangover recovery mode, and on a cloud 9 after that win for our Hurlers yesterday.
Everyone on the Hill were in disbelief when the final whistle went.
Amazing scenes.

Chris Crummey sent off after only 14minutes - the writing was on the wall for the Dubs.
But Niall really has strengthened the heart, belief and skill levels of this team.
Such resilience shown.

To lead by 15pts to 12pts at half time, despite having 9 first half wides and dropped another couple short.

We had nine different scorers, and players putting their bodies on the line throughout.
Wonderful to see.

It appeared that this amazing Limerick team, no longer had the legs and struggled to keep up at times, in the soaring heat in Croker.

I have to say this victory is right up there with our Leinster Hurling Championship win over Galway, and our Hurling League Final win over Kilkenny. And I was privileged to be on Hill 16 for each of these occasions.

Of course nothing won yet, but this victory was so very important for the development of hurling in Dublin and for this Dublin hurling management team and squad.

Can we go there again v Cork in the All Ireland Hurling Semi Final - probably not, but this win will live long in the memory, such was magnitude of it.

County Board and clubs need to push it.

GAA is becoming almost anonymous in city other than on match days. Cork in contrast have really caught the imagination and despite the awkward time they will bring 30,000 to it.

Commentators still pushing myth that crowd for hurling was only there late. Hill was on way to being full well before the football later comers started to arrive. Much better support among club members than other years. Which is probably due to huge fall off in casual crowd footballers had up to Covid. Be great if hurlers started to extend support beyond the hard core.
