The Leinster bench had 358 international caps, the entire Northampton team had 123, of course it's a management issue along with the players, an international team playing a club side at home in front of 95% of huge crowd of home supporters and are beaten. If Ross Byrne was at 10 yesterday he'd have been taken off at half time, Irish rugby not in a good place, the rule whereby our key players could come from other countries has changed, Ryan, Healy, Furlong, Van Der Flyer, Henshaw, Aki, Gibson Park. Conan, Beirne all on last legs, replacements not coming through.

Replying To supersub15:  "I was at the game and I watched it again today and I didn't see any ankle tap possibilities with great clarity.

You are correct he won't make the cut, his opposite number Fin Smith will, for sure, it was always going to be that way, don't forget Sam is only a few months playing Rugby at the highest level and barely 22.

You choose to Blame him saying, "His place kicking alone costs a game" - - - are you for real ?.

You say, - - - One other thing is they need a 15, Keenan is not good enough but both Leinster and Ireland stick with him.

I don't understand, I have never read a post from you here on HS giving a pre match opinion on a Leinster or Ireland Rugby game or player so how can you expect anyone with a grain of honesty to believe your post match comments.

PS. Eleven months ago the same two teams met in the same semi final, Leinster had to fight all the way for a 3 point win, as a result they were all house hold names and heroes.
Sadly, yesterday they fell short by the same margin of 3 points to the same opposition, suddenly they are now all losers and Leinster is now past tense.
I sincerely that is not your definition of sport, I'm glad it's not mine."
I didn't realise you have to be a constant poster on the actual games to have a view when you feel like posting and you therefore think I don't know anything about the game - well done.

If he knew he didn't have the pace to catch Pollock then at least dive and try to tap tackle - what he tried was nothing attempt. Fin Smith is 22 is he not? btw Pollock is 20!
Ireland and Leinster sticking with Keenan is a problem Barrett should have either started before him or Henshaw who has gone off form this year. Keenan's decision making in defending has been a problem and while he works well in set play attacks he running the ball back his lines of attack end up going straight into the opposition.

The Leinster team that went out was by nearly everyone's reckoning an Irish team so their failure also reflects on Irish rugby and their ability to win clutch games. This was not an opposition stacked with international players from all over the world. If the stated aim of Leinster is to win the Champions Cup this is a massive failure and must be the last straw in Cullen's reign. This was a team that should not have lost given the overall advantage they had around the field but they did, so for nobody to question why is a ridiculous idea. The heads of the other provenances have gone for not performing with a quarter of the resources that Leinster have.
