Absolutely super work from our committee too, handed a tough hand to deal with. Build up really starting now, plenty of flags up good to see and hoping the lads can put in a big performance and see where it takes us. A day to be savoured, not every day you get to see Monaghan in an Ulster final in Clones and if Casement does ever go ahead people might look back and say how privileged we were to be at one in Clones. sporto (Monaghan) - Posts: 197 - 15/05/2026 10:46:39 2673121 Link 1 |

Be good to see how many will be back in Clones in a fortnight regardless of the result.

You musnt have watched the game, we were all over them for the first 20 and we could have coasted to the win. Bate the same team at u17 level 3 years ago which might be the barometer if we have progressed or not. Aside from the Armagh win our only victories were over Antrim Fermanagh and Cavan who should be in a tier 3 comp. Losses to Donegal Derry and Tyrone

Good point. Overheard one of the stewards commenting on how many Monaghan supporters left at halftime. What about a bit of respect for the effort the guys put in. Are the same ones complaining about ticket allocation going to be getting up and turning their backs on the team if things are going badly with 20 left...

Experience probably will count for a lot Sunday, Armagh probably hold the aces there, not to many of our players have played in a full Clones surely? Beggan, R Wylie? Its also interesting, it has been well highlighted Armagh are chasing Ulster but a lot of our guys haven't' tasted any success in the province and probably wont get a better opportunity than Sunday. Will be interesting to see how we cope with that. Kickouts are huge, Roscommon really took Galway to the cleaners last week so Beggan will be a target for the Armagh men. Armagh cleaned Downs inform players in the SF by attacking every chance they got. You would be hoping at midfield we can win that battle to launch attacks. I think on squad depth, form, experience, Armagh should see it out. Its a game where I am nervous for, being a Monaghan supporter, some times we can be in these positions with a huge build up and we do not show up or often loose a close game. I really hope this team makes their own history Sunday. 222 (UK) - Posts: 928 - 15/05/2026 12:57:46 2673151 Link 0 |

Am i the only one thinking Armagh struggle with favourites tag. And it is so set up for them to finally win an Ulster title. All they have to do is show up they are going that well. We are in a fantastic place heading into Sunday. farneygael3 (Monaghan) - Posts: 665 - 15/05/2026 13:23:43 2673156 Link 0 |
