Cant see Garrycastle getting beyond the 1/4 stages-they were only average against a weakened Caulry team who were without their main scorer Conor McCormack-their main midfield player Tadhg Baker and a barely fit Senan Baker.Against Moate Garrycastle were also only average-Moate were by far the better team and should have won.Garrycastle deserve credit for staying in games and winning games when not at their best but that dosent always work. The Downs are clear favourites and rightly so but write off St.Lomans at your peril-they still have a big say in this years championship and whoever is gonna win it they will have to beat Lomans. Garrycastle can't avoid the The Downs. If they win QF they meet them in the semifinals. Below is the layout so far with a lot of different outcomes of Group A still to be decided. Group B is between Moate and Caurly. If Caurly win then they must hope Killucan lose. If Caurly and Killucan win then Caurly must win by 8 points or more. All Moate need is a draw or any win and they are into the QFs. If you finish in 4th in group A you must beat Garrycastle and The Downs to reach a county final!!! QFs QF 1 - Group A 4th place VS Group B 1st place (Garrycastle) QF 2- Group A 3rd place VS Group B 2nd place (Moate or Caurly) SFs The Downs VS QF 1 Group A 2nd place VS QF 2 Temple56 (Westmeath) - Posts: 573 - 12/09/2025 14:02:15 2635874 Link 0 |
