Replying To BigSur:  "Good to see the U20 footballers reach the B All Ireland Final after a comfortable win v Leitrim last night. Monaghan up next in the final - any idea of a date or venue ? The more games in a county jersey the better for these lads.
Anyone heading to London this weekend ? FA Cup Final is on too but prices of hotels and flights are crazy so it'll be tv highlights for me unless it will be streamed online."
U20 B final is next weekend in Breffni Park at 5.30.

Replying To Claretandblue:  "You clearly don't understand the word ridicule and please elaborate on the trust issues? Are you saying that previous county board administrations were guilty of dodgy financial dealings? That's hardly fair unless you can back it up"
I did not say dodgey financial dealings I said reneged on paying what was owed. It happened, 100% if you don't believe me well thats up to you. As for trust issues, well in 2014 the then county chairman stood up and said we got council approval for a new roof for Cusack park and we were getting a low interest loan to cover it and it was to be completed by beginning of championship 2016. Where did that go?

We were pomised upgrade works to Cusack park and we got a few bucket seats 2 years ago and the back wall of the stand painted and a few other harmless bits. Somehow works carried out over the recent winter came to 400k, can you see where that 400k went to? Because I cannot.

There was 40m on the table in 2008 for Cusack park and a new 20,000 capacity stadium going to be built, where is that?? We spent 2m in 1994 on Cusack park and Wexford spent an extra million over what we paid and got twice the venue we got. Can you see past the nose on your face and realize that there are many reasons like this that people who have money won't give it.

Now can you please tell me who the 'target audience' is that you mentioned? Aul lads retired with hapes of cash, no mortgage or no kids in college is it??

Replying To Chops:  "House draw pushed out by a month anyone buy ticket lately? How many sold now? Jarlath Brurns after popping up on my Facebook feed pushing the Waterford one. Advertisement very low key at the moment"
Just reading through posts below this one.... I haven't seen anything about your draw. I agree that if properly marketed, people outside the county will purchase a ticket. A recent draw between Mohill & Carrick On Shannon was won by someone outside the county. Tickets cost 50eur and as far as I know they raised more than enough to cover the cost of the house and plenty more.

Trust issues

2014 promised new roof for Cusack park to cover full length of pitch and cover seating all way out to front of stand. Planning was granted by Westmeath county council and 2.2m of low interest loan was supposed to be secured from central council. Works were to be completed by championship 2016. Where did that go?

400k allocated for 'upgrade' works and the park was to be closed over the past winter to do it. Can you see where that 400k went? Because I can't. We got a few bucket seats 2 years ago and a lick of paint on the back wall of the stand and a few little bits of jobs. Where is that money going/gone??

We spent nearly 2m in 1994 on Cusack park while Wexford spent 1m more a year later and had a far superior end product. Fine terrace and all seater fully covered main stand.

We have been reckless with money down the years so you cannot blame people for not putting their hand in their pockets and instead spending it on the gym or golf membership as you previously said, which is their business not yours.

So please, I asked you previously what is the 'target' audience' as you put it??

Replying To Dazzler30:  "They clearly must of gone with the apartment in Spain because its cheaper than a house in Mullingar. Mullingar is a commuter town so the buy in to win an Irish house would be much better received."
Roscommon draw was a house in Newbridge Kildare. Won by a Meath man. The house was not donated or sponsored by anyone, the cost came out of the 818,000 raised. The costs was 514,000 which 70% was prizes and 20% was digital advertising. Club Rossie has raised nearly 6m net over the last 11 years. We are not spreading our net far enough.

The final round of the ACFL is set for next week, and there are plenty of exciting developments to watch. At the top of the table, the race for league finals is heating up while at the other end relegation battles are underway.

In Division 1, Kinnegad has already secured their spot in the league final. The fight for second place is between Garrycastle and Shamrocks, with Garrycastle holding the advantage thanks to a game in hand. Their replay with St. Loman's will be crucial in deciding their final position. At the bottom of the table, Tyrrellspass have already been relegated and Shandonagh, Athlone, and St. Loman's are all at risk of joining them in the drop zone.

In Division 2, Tubberclair has already qualified for the final, maintaining an unbeaten record so far. They will be joined by Killucan, who finished in second place. Ballymore have already been relegated, and several teams are still fighting to avoid the second relegation spot including big intermediate clubs like Rosemount and St. Mary's. A key match to watch in Division 2 will be the clash between Shamrocks and St. Loman's 2nd teams, with both sides battling to stay out of trouble. Expect some big names to feature in that game.

In Division 3, both Castledaly and Kinnegad have earned promotion, while no team has been relegated yet. Six teams are still in danger of dropping down to Division 4 for 2026, including senior team St. Malachy's.

Shandonagh are gone they have a massively inferior score difference to both teams and both of the others have the head to head on them

Shandonagh relegated from division 1? Can only match Athlone on points and lost head to head.

They can match both Athlone and Lomans but yes both them teams have much better score diff so it would have to be a set of freak results for Shandonagh to stay up

Forgot about Loman's not getting the points vs Garrycastle. Hard to see Loman's not going all out in last two games. Be harsh on them regardless if they were relegated having played league matches without their county players

Is the rule not in the league as well about the mini table if three teams are on the same points? It's in the championship so strange if it's not in the league. If it is Shandonagh are relegated

Is every other club team in the county without county players not in same boat? The Downs had 6 players with county panel since start of the year. You could argue that 1-2 players lost to the county panel in some clubs makes a bigger impact than say 4 on a club as big as Lomans no??

In fairness you're right there. However Lomans have a crazy amount of players out this year with injury, traveling, county etc. they' a full panel essentially unavailable for the first few games. It won't matter anyways, they'll be safe.
