Plunketts have had that tendency more than most in recent years. Shout out for his club mate Connor Tyrell, very game and hugely hungry for it. TheUsername (Dublin) - Posts: 4504 - 19/03/2025 09:36:54 2597198 Link 0 |

Yep certainly very good news and his presence again at no.6 will be a huge plus. Wonder if his return will spark a couple of more into a rethink... unlikely I'd say but we can live in hope!! :)

Great news to see John Small back .A great boost just before the championship begins .If only a certain midfielder might return. Wishful thinking I suppose. brayballer (Wicklow) - Posts: 33 - 03/04/2025 11:24:10 2600301 Link 1 |

Fantastic news. Welcome back Smally. Will add much needed steel in the middle. Delighted to see him back in the mix.

Oh you tease!!! :D Was interested to hear Peter Canavan saying on RTE while on the panel for the Donegal game that he thinks Dublin are 5th in the pecking order this year. He also wrote off his own county's chances too mind you. I don't think there is much to separate any of the sides this year to be honest. Like would it be that much of a surprise if a Dublin or Tyrone beat any of Canavan's top 4 of Kerry, Donegal, Galway and Armagh. Lastly I found it funny that McBrearty commenting after on the Donegal competition for places is up there with the Dublin sides of 5 or 6 years ago. I mean my initial reaction was hold your horses Paddy - if memory serves me correctly in the 2019 5IAR final we introduced fellas like Connolly, Philly, Costello, Cian O'Sullivan, Kev Mc and possibly MDMA got minutes too. I mean fair play for his confidence but thought it was a little silly to make the comparison is all! TrueBlue35 (Dublin) - Posts: 220 - 07/04/2025 10:23:01 2600918 Link 1 |

Always been one of top 4/5 forwards in county. Seems to have gotten new lease of life under Ó Ceallacháin. Saw his Da - the original Hedger! - in Craobh after. Over the moon. Great day. BarneyGrant (Dublin) - Posts: 3467 - 26/04/2025 22:26:05 2604503 Link 1 |
Especially in the last few years he's been the top performer in dublin shc, parnell park suits him down to a tee. His Da is a legend in his own right too! Has the younger brother from Craobh ever got a run out with the county?

Well done to Dublin. I can tell you for sure I haven't been laughing at anything to do with Dublin hurling for a long time now. All that I would say is that there has been years of wasted talent in Dublin and they have struggled to get the right management and attitude in place. They have all the right ingredients but getting it right has been the issue. They will need to look at how Wexford scored 4.19, they will come up against defenses that are far more physical than the Wexford one and hoping to outscore the opposition is never a good strategy.

Wasn't referring to Wexford at all. You may recall that after draw in Wexford in 2013 that Eddie Brennan had gone to trouble of picking out bits later on Sky to make a mockery of both teams. Wexford be one of my favourite other counties along with Tipp, other than either playing ourselves they be team i like to see doing well. Great supporters too who were there in numbers yesterday and who have had a tough few years. Hope you do manage to get a qualifying spot. That penalty was cast iron save. Things like that happen and it might well have changed the outcome. Such is life. I know i would be fit to be tied if it was other way around. "hoping to outscore the opposition is never a good strategy." How else can you win a game if you don't outscore the opposition? Cockney_Cat (UK) - Posts: 2736 - 27/04/2025 10:12:15 2604557 Link 0 |
