Replying To Fionn:  "Interesting interview by Davy, and a good mention for Deano.

After the Louth loss only a few weeks ago, we had lost 7 out of 11 games.
Won only 1 from 6 games in Croker, and that was against a depleted Monaghan team.
As the article says - It looked bleak..

But the return from suspension of Ger has really helped turn things around, both in training and match day…

It obviously had an impact but it has coincided with having some of the main men back fit at the right time.

Speaking of which I note that Kerry's odds shortened significantly yesterday. Hopefully that is not an indication that one of the main injury concerns has not been resolved.

Yep they are now nearly 1/2 to win Sam and 4/11 to beat the Dubs.
Their squad is now looking back to full strength.

Dublin are 11/4 for the game this weekend.
We are clearly not expected to win by the bookies.

Hopefully Sean and Murch can make the match day squad for us, Barney.

I think for us to win we will need a curve ball or two by way of a timely black/red card for them at a crucial stage in the game. I am just not sure we will live with their firepower and keep the scoreboard ticking over ourselves but I'd of course be happily proven wrong! I think they can be got at as Tyrone showed and I do trust Brennan to have a plan in place to keep things close. If we can be in touch going into the last 10 mins then it'll be all to play for.

I keep thinking back to the '23 final and how we didn't paly well for a large spell but still managed to squeeze out the win. Part of that was down to Clifford having an off day by his standards and being very well marshalled by Mick Fitz. I don't McMahon is anywhere near the quality of Mick Fitz and I'd worry about him if he was assigned to tag Clifford.

Really looking forward to it, lost of variables and hopeful we can cause an upset.

McMahon fit would be boost. Can't see the Murch unfortunately. Big loss.

Davy might be assigned to him or even a curve ball like Theo.
But in fairness, neither of the 3 would be expected to come out on top v DC.

The key is to try to stop the supply.

Our kick outs will be crucial.
I just hope EC has a good day…

Let's see what plan Ger has for this game…!

Clifford well able to win his own ball and couldn't see Davy beating him on that score or for pace, McMahon be more in your face and physical but supply as you say is crucial.

Jack O'C mentions Dublin closing Galway down in the back and winning midfield so that's where it will be won and lost. Kerry having runners from deep and winning bulk of their own kickouts would make it near impossible task.

Still, these games tend not to go to script. Anything might happen, and probably will.

I know you are a Hurling man, Barney.
But did you get sorted for a ticket for this game ?

We need a strong steady start and see how it goes from there.

Thankfully it is a semi final, so no Sam will be handed out after it…. ;o)

Weather forecast is for a hot sunny humid day with little or no wind, so fitness levels and subs will be very important.

Looking forward to seeing the Dubs squad named…
