Replying To eoinog:  "Cloonacool eventually limped over the line yesterday evening against Harp's. Great achievement for the club, intermediate championship next year along with Div 2 football.
Likewise today was a great day for Coolaney. They went with a joint mgt team of local lads, stalwarts of the club really and it worked for the championship. I love to see the local man on the sideline. It seems to be coming a little more prevalent. Playing senior football will give their development plans a big boost.
The game itself wasn't great. Lots of handling errors, over carrying, picking the ball off the ground etc etc. Enniscrone didn't have much to offer in the second half. Lumping high balls into the full forward line hoping to get goals with plenty of time on the clock showed inexperience and that they were a little bit naive."
Well done to Cloonacool and Mullinabreena, both of whom would have been favourites for both competitions from the start. Didn't see Cloonacool game but glad for them. Smallest club in the county operating out of the same parish as Tubber.

As for intermediate Enniscrone did well in first quarter but the final 15 minutes was just a land it in and see how it works out as you mentioned there was plenty of time to chip away at points. Not a great game and doubt Mullinabreena will go too far in Connacht but I doubt they'll care either. Enniscrone had some support at the game and was a big occasion for them but sometimes you've to lose one to win one and they'll be up there with Curry next year among the favourites to be in knockout stages at least.
