Replying To francie81:  "So with the leagues wrapped up all focus on the championship now. Can we win back to back Leinster titles, a lot of the talk around is that Meath are champions elect, I agree that they will be really out to win it having fell just short to us and kicking on as they did afterwards and now all of a sudden a Div1 team, however giving there leaky defence if anyone get a good run at it they could be in some bother especially our front boys should we meet them in Leinster again or in the AI series, thoughts?"
I feel we have every chance as the rest to win a Leinster this year but it'll be a tough run to do it. Wexford are well improved from last year and are now a D2 team who will be out to dethrone us. If we pass that challenge its the ultimate challenge in a Ger Brennan led Dublin team who will no doubt be hurting and out to prove a point as all of a sudden a Leinster title looks a good year for them. Fingers crossed we get our injured players back and keep the injury list to a minimum.
Here's to a great upcoming champioship.

You were saying!!! The championship is coming down the tracks. Meath have been very consistent in the league and have done very well. Having said that they have been very close to full strength in most of their matches. Unlike a lot of teams they don't look as if they have much more to come for the championship. What you saw on Sunday looks as if it could be close to their best. Other teams most definitely have plenty more to come.

Yeah you hit the nail on the head and with Carlow lifting silverware albeit Div4 even though we were there not that long ago nevertheless it's enough to spur anyone on to achieve more especially in a province where the dominance Dublin machine is no longer. And it just goes to show how strong we are ourselves now that we could blood new players from the underage ranks and still take out teams we may not have a few years ago, really makes even for a more interesting championship I just hope they tidy up the rules if not now but by the time the AI series takes effect.

Think Louth and Meath will be looking no further than the game in front of them with Wexford and likely Westmeath offering stiff challenges. Dublin probably have easier draw with Wicklow or Carlow. Kildare, Offaly/Laois will be really pushing for a good championship. Laois had a few impressive league performances and whoever comes out of that trio will be tough opponents in a semi too. While Louth, Dublin and Meath are thinking they are well ahead of the rest, they will still need to be on their toes. No doubt if Dublin sharpen themselves, they are extremely dangerous. Louth probably have integrated new players best while Meath have been most consistent.
Meath would need another level to get over the line in Leinster however.

Their is no foregone conclusion when it comes to the championship and yes I agree especially in Leinster now that the Dubs are over there golden era as pointed out and having the pick that they have they will still remain favourites, last year we were almost caught off guard by Laois were it not for the goals then Kildare had us on the ropes until we upped a gear and got a goal on the struck of the break which proved crucial in the end so we more or less stuttered into last year's decider without playing very well, and Offaly had a proper crack at yourselves up to the interval.
I think Meath out of all in the province will be out to prove a point in getting over the line so if you ask me the pressure is on yourselves, should be interesting though.
