Hearing Darragh Foley has rejoined the football panel. He would never have left but saw what a mess it was going to be under Curran. A very welcome addition.. as I said previously Murphy will get every footballer good enough to play for Carlow to commit

That would be great news. The new rules would see to suit him ideally (even potentially as a goalkeeper).

Would Carlow not be better off continuing to blood young players and try to expose these players to as many minutes as they can, instead of calling back a 35 year old?

Need to build momentum first and we need leaders. He'll be a big help in both respects.

Would Walker rejoin ... certainly he could strengthen the panel. The other two are Jordan Morrissey (travelling ?) and Colm Hulton, but then we would have charges of Eire Og bias coming out, but both likely starters IMHO

Darragh Foleyn.eturning to the senior football team is good news. His leadership is important but his accuracy from outside the new scoring arc will be important in the Tailteann Cup. He is one of the few players who has the ability to score plenty of 2.pointers which are real game changers.

Well done to the carlow minor team tonight..I'm thinking it might be 07 since we won back to back minor games, open to correction on that though. It's progress though and that's something we haven't seen in carlow football in a long time.

On the senior side of things I'm hearing good reports lee walker is also back in which is good to hear and the panel is working extremely hard. Nice to see daragh foley back also a great servant to carlow

Good win for the minors down in enniscorthy tonight and nice to top the group. They made hard work of it but were the better team. Wexford had to win and it showed. They threw themselves into everything but thankfully Carlow weathered the many storms and got scores when really needed.

Westmeath next Thursday, venue tbc but surely Carlow should have home advantage as reward for topping their group vs a team who came third in theirs. Admittedly Westmeath's was a really tough group with Meath and Kildare whereas ours was more like a development group but we topped it so we should get home advantage. I saw us play Westmeath in the league earlier this year in Fenagh and they won by by about 6 but they weren't that convincing and we led them for lots of the game. Both teams made wholesale changes throughout but we had their measure when we had our strongest team out. Whether they had their strongest at the same time is moot I know. But we have a chance so hopefully a big crowd will show up wherever it is. Plenty of tidy players on this Carlow team and they're well coached.

Brilliant win for the minors tonight against a Wexford team who had to win so they could throw the shackles off but we were still the better team. Watched it on Clubber & although we made hard work of it at times we got there in the end. Back to back victory's is hugh for us. Hopefully we will give Westmeath a right rattle. After all the negativity this is a good news story. Well done team & management

Excellent performance from the team grinding out a very important win !
As.Wexford had to win Carlow were under a little pressure but in captain Mark Buggy we had a player capable of winning the ball and able to 'put in' other players for shots on goals.
When we played fast ball we were impressive.
Next week will be a different game and I think that if we play and contest the ball up the field we can get another result.
Agree that the team is very well coached.
Plenty of pace and great ro see players having a go for scores.

Slipped into the Centre of Excellence tonight to see Mayo 2nd string with Kevin McStay, Steven Rochford & Donie Buckley on the line v Carlow. How Murphy got them to come down on a Friday night of an Easter weekend is one thing but the quality of the match & the difference already in Carlow was amazing. David Gough even ref''d The game 1-16 to 1-18 it finished, things are changing, no comparison.

Joe Murphy is a great appointment, absolutely no question.

But the bits in bold, highlight the delusion in Carlow football. Pass judgement on how amazing things are once the Tailteann Cup is over.
