The last time the Dublin men's senior football team played a championship match at Parnell Park was in 2004.
And now for a do or die clash, they want to have a game for around 8.5k.

It will make it some game in fairness but tickets will be like golddust.

Replying To Saynothing:  "Doesn't matter where it is, Donegal will be in last 8. They don't turn into a bad team on 1 result."
Donegal played very well in the 1st half against Cork, had a healthy lead at half time, but they seemed to take the foot off the pedal in the 2nd half and our bench had little or no impact, while the Cork bench had a very effective impact.

No 2 point attempts until the last few minutes was strange, bit like last years All Ireland final. Very strange finish to this game.

Replying To Expertinall:  "They never wanted to leave Croke park when they thought they had an advantage there, remember the groups, home/away/ neutral. They never insisted Parnell park was used then."
Well said, you're right and the Dubs are right to gain any advantage they can, it would be a bad sign of a team if they didn't

Wouldn't blame them for requesting Parnell Park to be honest, Donegal will at least match their support in Croke Park, makes sense to do what Louth did and try to take whatever advantage away from Donegal they can.

It was a very flat performance from Donegal against Cork, especially in the second half. Cork were excellent, slowed the game down, kept possession for long periods and took their 2 pointers. I thought the atmosphere was flat as well, considering the game was a sell out. We couldn't win any of the kickouts in the second half and Cork had all the possession.

Oisin Gallen and Ryan McHugh were excellent in the first half but was hard to pick anyone out in the second half that played well. Gallen is our only forward who can beat his man and kick a score when the game is slowed down. You can't expect to win a game with so many of the players below par. Our bench looks very light. We are really missing Paddy McBrearty from the bench and Ciaran Thompson not being available is another blow. We had a much stronger panel last year, losing Niall O'Donnell and Aaron Doherty hasn't helped. Not sure about the decision to pick Patton ahead of Mulreaney.

Dublin away is going to be tricky but probably a good game to get us refocused. We don't become a bad team overnight and think we will have much more energy this weekend.

I don't understand why people say Donegal played well first half. We had a 5 point lead at half time, only because we got a lucky goal and a Cork free taker missed a free that an u12 would have scored.
