Replying To Northwest90:  "Evan Broderick back in action for Killybegs today, but given he was a St Finbarrs player since 28/1/2025 I hope he transferred back in time or Killybegs superb win today could be all in vain..
Nothing up yet on the GAA live transfer list!"
Transfer list up to last week is published and no sign of him on it.

Maybe you were on to something??

Replying To dgcrusader:  "Go ahead and name them sure since you reckon that a couple of your Dungloe mates are better than what McGuinness picked, since you know better than the man that has taken us to back to back Ulsters and an All Ireland semi final and final."
Not interested in throwing committed footballers under the bus. Have already highlighted the players I rate above the two Dungloe lads. In my opinion, they could make another county final this year and we'd have this exact same conversation this day next season.

Replying To Scenicparish:  "Early days yet. Gweedore were lucky to beat Glenfin at home. Kilcar just held on to beat Eunan who were missing 8 regulars although Kilcar were missing Ryan and Mathew Mc Clean."
Eunans team to beat. Did you watch Gweedore game? Was checking their twitter and they were leading comfortably?

Yeah, you're right, very early days yet. But I was of the mindset before the championship started that it might have been a two horse race. But maybe not.

Replying To eddieSize5Balls:  "Name me one "great" player from those clubs that was around in Jim's 6 years of managing that he didn't play.
The reality is outside of the 5-6 bench players who get game time, the rest of the panel are only there for training."
In fairness I think 36 or 37 players got game time during the National League, so he definitely has given most players a run out, albeit some only got a small amount of game time.

I think we need Niall O'Donnell to step up and fulfill his potential, I know he has had injury problems, but its high time he staked a claim for a permanent place in that full forward line and he just hasn't been consistent enough. I think he is a player we badly need and when he plays to his potential he is brilliant.

Plenty of players get their chances in the league. A lot don't take them. I trust Jim and I fully believe the 20 or so players he plays regularly are the best that suit his system. Murphy is likely retiring again and Paddy's best days are behind him so there will be two spots up for grabs in the next year or so. These players like Niall OD and maybe Luke McGlynn need to take the chances when they get them.
I'm sure we will be seeing 2-3 new players break in next season anyway. Some of our role players from the bench are pushing on a bit.

Agree. He's better technically than his brother but his brother has overtaken him now in terms of importance to the team. Needs to step up definitely.
Would love Luke McGlynn to have a great championship and make a claim next year in the county setup.

Oisin Gallen needs to step it up , playing in fits and starts is no good to us. He needs to deliver a consistent season like last year when he won the all star.

Replying To The keeper:  "Can you name the players he has supposed to have overlooked in his time as Donegal manager? That you believe are good enough.
I believe The Donegal manager would pick a Div 4 player if he was good enough. And the Donegal manager has no rival clubs.
If you knew the Manager you would know it's all about winning and picking players he trusts.
The same with his backroom team.
But any top management only have people they trust in the setup, players and backroom.
I am sure if there were players from ardara, glenfin and the other clubs you named good enough, they would be in the setup.
I suppose there is always one, that no matter what success you bring, will not be happy.
I personally would love to see the manager stay on for an extra few years with some of the young talent from four masters coming into the panel, a long with other players.
Because if he goes, I dread to think where we will go after him.

On the club scene, was at naomh conail v glenswilly, glenswilly fully deserved there victory. Both teams missing players.
A lot of work to do for my own club naomh conail, need to get players back. Unfortunately I believe Ethan O'Donnell will not be coming back from Australia this season, which is a massive loss. But these players have several county medals already, so you can't blame them for enjoying a year out."
Any idea why your own Clubman was excluded from the 26 for the final? I've heard a good few people down there not happy about the decision.
