Carried an injury for most of if not all of last year. Could clearly see it in some of the Donegal games. He was there every other year for Cloughaneely so of course he's going to be a loss for them.

It'll have a big impact on them I'm afraid. When available he was a huge asset to them. Sad to see him leaving. But in fairness to him if he was offered a big job in Dublin it was a no brainier. He's a young lad Who no doubt taught long and hard about it and felt it was too good to turn down. Wonder will it effect his county chances I can't seee it.

Anyone know if Mcfadden-ferry is fit enough to play Sunday?
If he is as good as he was before for county I genuinely believe Jim could turn him into an all star

Abbey through to the McRory cup final. 14 of the starting 15 from one club. Some achievement.. Has to be a record.

Massive achievement especially considering I'd imagine every other school in the competition has a much bigger pool of students/players/clubs. Truly a special group coming through for Four Masters

No coverage from Donegal GAA on what was almost one of Donegal hurlers greatest victories. Shame on them

Looks bad when Donegal men wouldn't travel to Kerry when Armagh Ladies travelled to Tralee and beat Kerry Ladies who are All Irelabd Champs.

If Donegal refused to that they would have automatically lost the game. I'm not sure where that narrative has come from.
It is a terrible day down the country with a risk of flooding. The health and safety of the players is paramount and the authorities in Croke Park made the decision in the best interests of players and supporters.

It's magnificent achievement for The Abbey. I was looking around at some of the other teams in the MacRory Cup and it would appear that there are outsiders from the schools there "helping" as part of their paid county coaching jobs, or such. The Abbey I believe got zero help from the county and that's the way it should be, but it should be that way for all the schools in the competitions.

Massive Congrats to Abbey VS. I think it would have been very unfair if they'd have been beat. They won the McLarnon and Paddy Drummond last year and those players had earned the right to play in the McCrory. I'm not in favour of the amalgamation at all in schools football.

Those players are a serious group and the 07 boys are the first batch that started in the Four Masters first academy 13 years ago. The club seem to have found a formula that works for them.

Hopefully AVS can finish the job now in two weeks. Maybe the County Board will now throw some support their way the same as they supported the SW, Dungloe and Gweedore amalgamation.
