He might be looking for a transfer back going by Kilcars U21 result today. And that was the B competition.

They have a bleak period ahead of them.

Firstly, what a performance from Dungloe today. They really went after it and definitely will know tonight that they have it their all. A young side, I have no doubt we'll see them again.

Fair play to Eunans though, really dug it out at the end despite being below par for a lot of the game. That's two games they've pulled it out now despite their bottle being questioned in the past.

Hopefully they can give a good account of themselves in Ulster now.

I hope DV will have the boom box pumping around the Cathedral Town in the coming week!

Very proud of Dungloe tonight here, not the pushover many outside the club predicted. Felt strongly there wouldn't be much in it. Congrats to St Eunans and best wishes in Ulster. More to come from Dungloe.

Experienced showed for Naomh Adhamhnáin today with a strong finish. Dungloe high intensity nearly came good for them. On another day they'd have won, but the 66 year wait becomes 67. Real improvement shown from start of season till now. Might be a young team, but there's a maturity there with leaders all over the pitch. They've showed themselves a force to be reckoned with. If the bench fills out a bit I'd expect them to be back in a final very soon.

The best county final for a neutral in years, with many players playing out of their skins. Shaun Patton pitch-perfect , Conor O'Donnell Jr. superb, and introduction of Eoin McGeehin changed match as Dungloe struggled to react. Dungloe full back line was excellent. Jason McBride out of his skin, Mark Curran powerful, but for me my man of the match, and maybe even player of the championship is Aaron Ward.

Congratulations to St Eunans and Gaobh Dobhair yesterday, it was nice to see Dungloe in the Senior final after so long.

Who have been the stand out Club players of the Club Championship this year?

I must admit when I watched the teams in the parade I thought it was Eunans' title to lose. Just thought that they had too much star quality for Dungloe to handle. But by God they were made to work for it. Dungloe's defending and intensity all over the pitch was superb. The one thing lacking maybe was their ability to sufficiently punish Eunans when they turned over possession.

The penalty was a controversial call. I don't like calling out referees because they have a difficult job, but even before he threw in the ball yesterday he seemed fussy. Credit to Eunans, they could have lost the heads after it. But instead they quickly regrouped and reeled off three points to win it. It will be interesting to see how they go in Ulster now. I wish them well.

Just an aside - Conor Moore is frightening to watch when he opens up and takes off. I think he's going to get better and better and should be a key player for Donegal in 2025 and beyond.

Newtown is a suburb of the GLMR (Greater Letterkenny Metropolitan Region)

Dungloe are my new favorite team and fair play to them. They might not have won though their attitude to the game was a complete breath of fresh air and hopefully other clubs will learn from it. As you mention they didn't punish eunans enough. They could do with just a little more quality in the scoring zone.

Eunans overall were the better team. The o'donnells and moore give them that extra wee bit of class. Niall o'donnell does not suit a ff role. He came out tgphe field a bit in the second and that suits him much better. He's a very good play maker. Moore did have some great runs. I think they could run him from a little deeper from hb as opposed to hf. Shane o'donnell also had a very decent second half.

Overall I really enjoyed the game and fair play to both teams.

congratulations to Eunan's on a deserved win especially given the fact that they had to endure the concession of one of the softest penalties in living memory....they responded very well. County finals should about the 2 sets of players giving their all for their clubs.........shouldnt be about anyone else really

He probably could...in terms of accent at least. Don't think he'd fare out so well trying to impersonate his pace though!
Few would.

Are Derry about to descend into fiasco like we did in 2023 I wonder? Ever since RG departed things haven't looked right. Initially it appeared that Mickey Harte had them going up to another level after their 2024 NFL win over Dublin. But things went very pear shaped after that as we all know. The Glen lads look like they're aiming for another big push with the club so it could be the case that Derry will be playing catch up if they don't get a new management team in place fairly soon?

Basically I would love to hear from the referee why he gave the penalty. It's at least the paying public deserve. I don't know if the referee was right or wrong but a bit of clarification would be good. As st eunans win it doesn't matter but if they lost it would have caused a lot of trouble. Eunans playing it down now but a decision like that towards the end of a county final could cost a lot of bitterness and rightly so if there was no evidence to back it up.

Yes especially after what happened in their last county final appearance when Shane O'Donnell was harshly sent off. It would be only human nature to begin speculating if there was some agenda against them. But you'd have to admire the way they very quickly parked it, and reeled off three quick points to win themselves the championship. Other teams could have panicked and lost the heads, handing the initiative to the other team completely.
