Naomh Conaill definitely died with there boots on, poor first half and one hell of a second half. I have to admire Anthony Thomson, did it all and one of the best players on the field. The two Doherty's and McKelvey missing definitely told at times, three experienced championship players, especially Ultan with man marking Niall O'Donnell, he got that bit more room with Ultan out. Also McKelvey's calmness on the ball and usually chips in with one or two scores. The keeper (Donegal) - Posts: 710 - 22/09/2024 19:06:11 2571293 Link 0 |
How about St. Michaels, thought they were dead and buried with that penalty but a great save from McGinley and they turn it around miraculously. Was mentioned on the commentary but I wonder would Langan be tempted back if it was feasible for the semi final which is very winnable, with no disrespect to Dungloe who were great against Glenswilly and are a very physical side. The feeling in Dungloe is that this is just as winnable for us too.
