Replying To Tirchonaill1:  "I think the majority of the county would be against Eunans in any game, Eunans to me were always a big town team with a lot of blow ins added down the years.
Hopefully Naomh Conaill get the win on Saturday evening, should be a good atmosphere playing under the floodlights always makes it better somehow."
they have always puzzled me, great club team, always winning championships, but apart from a couple players, never really had any star county players outside of Brendan Devenney (who is also not from letterkenny lol)
NC should be targeting the highball into Pattons area because we know he is not good there.

Replying To eunans4ever:  "What makes u say we are rejuvenated?

We are down players on last year too and in fact I'd say one of our better defenders in Peter Mc Eniff is in the states.

Best of luck Saturday and may the best team win"
I say rejuvenated because the O'Donnell's seem to be in flying form, Moore is in the form of his life and for the first time in a few years, looking at the game a few weeks back, Eunans had a game plan.
Now we're we at out best, probably not. But that was down to Eunans game plan, they took out our key men. And I expect them to do the same this Saturday. It will then be a question can we deliver something new.
And I cant underestimate the two key men we are missing, the two Doherty's, battle hardened championship players who are hard to replace.
My head is saying a Eunans victory, but my heart is hoping that we deliver another massive performance.
Good luck to both teams and I know Eunans had a difficult few weeks with losing good club men.
So if they win on Saturday, I hope they go all the way.

Making county footballers certainly isn't one size fits all, but there's a sweet spot to make an elite county footballer - Sometimes pressure makes diamonds.

Eunan's didn't have as much pressure to refresh their teams and integrate young players as they could throw out the same 15 from the year before and have a great chance of winning titles. No doubt some talent did come through, but some were also suffocated. Open to be corrected on this, but I would presume by quantity, Gaoth Dobhair, Naomh Conaill, Chill Chartha have all started more 17/18/19 years olds in the last 20 years than Eunan's have.

I make this point because each of Donegal's All-Stars were thrust into their senior club sides by 18, and most were county starters by 20.

Today's panel has three star men from Eunan's, and I wouldn't be surprised if anyone of the three becomes the first Eunan's man to win an All Star next year. Is this a sign that something has changed, or is it an exception to the rule?

A big weekend of action ahead. If the weather stays the same we should hopefully see some good fast football and no excuses now for these 0-06 - 0-05 type scorelines.

The unexpected warm weather will certainly be a factor. Could tight fixtures be decided on fitness/squad depth I wonder?
