Replying To tickets: "I read someone mentioning no.26 in our squad. I agree with their statement. There's 1 or 2 more who could change a game more than him in the squad. Let's say we need a goal are you throwing him on ? You're not! You adjust your team and throw Jason or Langan in full forward before you would put him on. That's just my opinion." Was looking on ticketmaster i would think we should see good attendance for the game what is people thinking? Has anyone ordered tickets with there clubs that was taking orders? Regarding training harder and making the players around him "work hard and prepare better", really none of us know if this is the case or not, we are not part of the training sessions. But even if this is accurate, this is really more of a justification for having the player in the extended training squad and not the match day 26. I'm sure everyone is driving each other, and I'd say even the battle for that 26 jersey is as tough as the rest. What wouldn't surprise me is if a name that hasn't even made the 26 is parachuted by Jim, like he did with Jigger. It's been a long time since we have seen the likes of Luke McGlynn, Oisín Caulfield or Domhnall McGiollaBhríde, but they could offer a little something different to the norm, and have the benefit of getting good game time during the league. I see the upper hogan and upper davin is open so I guess that indicates a bigger crowd than the quarter final so in the 50k region and maybe a bit higher. The upper hogan have no juvenile seats and don't seem to selling too quickly. I thought, like the quarter you had to go through ticketmaster, so didn't go near the club. Hopefully donegal can get there in big numbers as there's been an awakening in galway after beating Dublin and they'll bring a big crowd. Look everyone knows the danger Comer & Walsh could pose if they're given a plentiful supply of ball. I think the key to this match for us will be disrupting that supply as much as we can. Galway are strong around the middle sector. Lads like Conroy, Maher, McDaid & Tierney are physically imposing & good footballers also. I think we'll need big games from Langan, McGee (if fit), Thompson & McGonagle to break even at least. If we can play the game on our terms, where we dominate possession & get our runners chipping in with points we won't be far away. We've shown that we can score a lot of points from a variety of sources. So as others have said, if we can keep the goals out we could be well on our way. It would be great to get to 70k as the place will be buzzing but just don't see it getting that high. They could definitely do a better promotion as well to get numbers up. We need to go in our many thousands to Croke Park and roar the team on to victory. Let's get a big percentage of the county to Dublin on Sunday week! Now we all know that was mostly us. Correct on GAA needing to do more promotion. Tomorrow Cork.Limerick looks like a sellout. If advertising is required to get some people to go to Croke Park forget it. The people that don't know the match is on are better at home. It's grand for clubs and parishes were the gaa is strong but it's not strong everywhere. It can be used as an opportunity to promote the sport to people who aren't really interested or involved in a club. With the pricing for children it's a great chance to encourage families to go and then they will be more interested in joining the local club after. The pricing of their tickets won't encourage any new families to start going to games. The children's tickets might be cheap at a tenner, but it would be 55 euro each for the parents. What was that match worth to a Cork person and hopefully next week will be the same for Donegal. The point I was making which you didn't choose to respond to was using it as an opportunity to help develop interest outside of people who are interested or are actively involved in a club.
