Very little time for either team to make a detailed gameplan bespoke to the other team. The interesting thing is that Morgan often presses high on the opposition kickouts just like Odhran lynch does, and he loves to get involved in the attack as well. We'll hardly see a repeat of what happened to Lynch the next day? I assume Tyrone will be wise to it and Morgan will be told to stay on his line. If so, that's great for us because Morgan does serious damage out the field, his ability to kickpass into the forward line is incredible. He's a serious quarter back-style fly keeper. He'll be thinking twice about that now I'd say

Colm Kilpatrick was missing yesterday due to injury, they said that he might be back for the Semi Final next week, but seems unlikely, as if he was that close he probably would have featured yesterday.

Team for this weekend assuming all are fit?
I would assume at this stage Eoghan Ban is being held back until the AI Series? A tough call on who partners Gallen inside. The rest of the team picks itself after last Saturday's display I reckon.

Yeah id image it will be a similar starting lineup, he might rotate one or two depending on how they fared in Celtic park to avoid or because of injuries (Shaun Patton maybe), but similar outfit.

I think I'd start Brennan, maybe get a half hour into Paddy in the 2nd half, Tyrone will not be easy beaten, they have some great players, I think Morgan will be a lot sharper than Lynch was when he does push out at times, Lynch has been a sitting duck waiting to get caught for years the way he rambles so far up the pitch imo.
Celtic Park will be better for the atmosphere of the match for sure, not going to be as good a day but it will be packed again,
The extra day of recovery will help us plus Tyrone played extra time, just hope Patton is fit, his kickouts are such a weapon.

By your logic the Down v Armagh semi final should be played in Newry because that really is between the 2 counties instead of dragging them both over to Clones.

I see on the Championship Predictions competition everyone seems to be tipping us now to beat Tyrone! Think I preferred it the other way when everyone was writing us off!

Good to see Jamie Brennan getting a goal. Brilliant player who is so underrated. Still only about 28 but always a goal threat.

If Tyrone don't have Meyler it's advantage us. Kilpatrick a big loss if unavailable also. Their inside line will need close attention.

Celtic Park the smart choice. Guaranteed to reach capacity at around 14-15k again. Celtic Park is closer to every club in the county than Clones is, and no club in Tyrone is further than an hour and a half travel. (I doubt there's more than 20 mins difference for any club for either venue).

I'm glad Ulster GAA didn't prioritise an extra 2000 ticket sales for the sake of half a million extra miles driven on the roads.

Agreed. Jamie has put a lot into Donegal football through good days and bad. Always struck me as a confidence player. If his form can keep improving he'll be a very important player. The pitches are hardening which will suit his game, and it wouldn't surprise me if he hit the onion bag again this weekend.

Tyrone won't have 10k badly supported last Sunday. As for Donegal they should hit 7 or 8 k . Ulster council must think Celtic park big enough. Maybe our lack of support all year is coming back to haunt us.

Can't fault the optimism, but I just don't think so. In the midst of McGuinness-mania in Donegal in 2012, we still had a June Ulster SF v Tyrone in Clones with only 17.7k spectators. I don't think either team is any better supported in 2024 than they were in 2012.

Delighted for him, has battled with injuries but retains that burst of pace and packs a powerful shot. A proud day for St Naul's club finishing with three players on the pitch and all making big contributions towards victory. Open to correction but I think you started with a team from 11 different clubs and Jamie's introduction making it 12 … all focused on leaving everything on the pitch for their team.
