Think Connollys will win easily against they have just 2 much fire power for Ballymahon to contain. Ballymahon caught Kilashee on the hop and just about scraped over Killoe. Mostrim and Grattens is hard to call, they've never met before in Championship. Mostrim have senior experience but Grattens are flying this year and on the form they are showing could be hard stopped.

I was of the understanding that it was 2 down and 1 up from Senior and Intermediate this year again.

2 I expect killoe and fr manning Gaels Gaels have been hit with a few injuries to key men this year cashel were unlucky not to get into a semi final and kilashee where finalists in 2025 and have good footballers that should be enough to keep them up

Replying To BadgerDog:  "I dont think its as simple as the team with the most players up to playing senior will stay up. Relegation is a pure dog fight and it will come down to who wants it more on the day. Looking at the 3 teams involved, Rathcline probably have 8 or 9 lads good enough, Mullinalaghta have around 8 or 9 too, Carrickedmond probably have 10 or 11 lads. All 3 teams have a few weak links / lads not up to senior standard or else they wouldn't be in relegation.
You could make a case for all 3 teams to stay up. If I was to call who stays up I would probably give a hesitant nod to Carrickedmond. They're a very proud club and have actually done quite well bar the Slashers game in the first round. Lost well to Clonguish in the end but they weren't the only team. Lost out in 2 very tight games against Colmcille and Granard."
Who are your 8 raths players?I was thinking 7 Definitely cant name 10 carrick ones anyway, I got around 6 ..Agree with you on mull roughly

How does the draw work for Senior Semi-Finals.

Rathcline for me was 3 Kennys, Iarla O'Sullivan, Bryn Peters, Jakub Kajan, Shane Donohue and I counted Liam Connertan.
Carrickedmond I had Aidan McGuire, Brian Mulvey, Eoghan McCormack, Cormac Mulvey, Barry O'Farrell, Sean Kelly, Kyle Kenny, Liam Glennon, Conor Mulvey, Sean Egan. 5 out of the 10 have played for Longford Seniors in the past few years, and 3 others have played Longford U20.

Agree with most .If going on county experience Mulvihill should be on that last also .Carroll played county ,Midfielder Morrissey is able to hold his own .Personally I didnt have Kajan or Donohoe on my list dont rate either player .Liam hasn't played so cant count him. They seem to be down a few players too used have a good Sorohan lad playing and Kian Gilmore was a good player .Also Rooney has been a good player for rathcline always one who shows up for them.He was on my list with above names mentioned .Will be a very interesting play off . Im going to go with 2 wins for Rathcline if they allowed to play football.

2 teams play each other, another 2 teams play each other, and the winners play each other adn the winner of that game wins it all. your welcum

What 5 Carrick players have played senior intercounty in the last 5 years? Maguire, Glennon and McCormack were have been in there alright, but none of them made any impact on the team.

I believe the relegation will be very interesting with little seperating the 3 sides. Mullinaghta bet Rathcline by 1 point in the group stages. Rathcline have had Carricks number for the past couple of years but should be little seperating the sides. The Mullinaghta Carrick fiasco from 2 years ago should give lots of added spice to that fixture.
I will give a hesitant vote to Mullinaghta to stay up with the experience shining through and David Mcgivney free taking and ability to consistently score them from distance..

I would not be surprised if all 3 teams finished with 1 draw and 1 win apiece and the team to stay up to be decided on score difference.

Barry OFarrell only retired in I think 2023 and he was a mainstay on the team for years. Sean Kelly also was in with the panel on 2 different occasions. The question that was asked was how many players are good enough to play Senior Club football in Longford. So if they were worthy of getting called in to the county panel in the last couple of years then surely they are good enough to play Senior Club football in Longford. What impact any of them made with the county team is irrelevant to the question that was asked.

It's impossible for 3 teams in a 3 team group to end up with 1 win and 1 draw each.
In that case all 3 teams would have won 1 game but remained unbeaten!!
I think you meant 1 win and 1 loss each.

Yes that is what I meant, was going through permutations while typing. It is possible for 1 team to draw and win a game and still be relegated, this could easily happen given how little there is between the sides.

Winners of Clonguish/Ardagh-Moydow play winners of Dromard/Colmcille.
Winners of Abbey/Slashers play winners of Granard/Killoe.
